2 - I was under the impression we have enough vaccine, but not enough medical grade glass vials to create the doses. A small but perhaps important detail.

I believe that they are aiming to get up to 2m vaccines out per week.
Each batch has to be checked apparently hence the delay.
I was listening to a professor from Oxford on the radio last night and he was saying that if all the vaccines could arrive together (obviously they can't) then the infrastructure in this country would allow every adult (over 16 years old) to be vaccinated in 5 DAYS.

Except that mass vaccination doesn't work without decent uptake.

It is there choice, yes, but if they wont have it will still lead to restrictions to ALL of us. If you were to say no foreign travel unless you have the vaccine, I bet it would it would be a lot less than 50% refusing to have the vaccine.

I think they are daft to not have it but as you say it's their choice.

That's what will happen eventually if not enough uptake. Those who have not had the vaccine I expect will be banned from overseas travel and other events in order to protect them from themselves and other such stupids.

Not sure restrictions will apply to those who have had the vaccine though.

Once the vaccines are given out to those who want them crack on. Anyone who chooses not to have it has made their choice.

Not having it doesn't only put that person at risk.

Jacko excuse my ignorance but why may others not be able to have the vaccine as a result of people who CAN have it choosing not to have it?

A relative minority of 66 million people yes.

My guess is, and I'm far from an expert, Covid 19 will eventually end up like the flu is now. It will claim victims year on year but at relatively much lower levels than it currently is.
