I think he was fantastic last night, the only player that really looked like doing anything. I couldn't believe it when he went off.

As bad a take on a player as I've ever seen on here.

I disagree with every word.
Well maybe think about what the poster actually said

He’s Quality....correct
He’s petulant...correct
He dive....correct
He’s petulant....correct
He makes poor decisions .....yep, those shots in the second half .?
There’s a reason Lisbon let him go.....correct

Unbelievable this a £30m player signed for £9m.  Our best player, problems in other areas and people are discussing Pereira. Bring back Stacy Coldicott.

There is no doubt he has the quality but he's got to apply it in the right way.

His attitude is poor, he dives and then when things aren't going our way he becomes petulant.

We can't also say the poor performances/passes are because team mates aren't on the same wavelength as him, it's poor decision making from him and I feel most the time this is because he gets frustrated.

There is some player in there but I worry that he won't ever realise his potential and this is why Sporting were willing to let him go.

Or could it be that they had much better players for that position like Bruno Fernandes so he was surplus to requirements.....

My only worry is that now Fernandes has joined Man U, Sporting might cancel the deal and ask for him back.

Regardless of his row Z shots last night, at least he tried.

Matheus worries me, he does not look happy, he looks sulky. I was at the Swansea game where he took a rollicking off Jake, for not advancing into a forward right position after Jake had won possession with a good tackle, and the break was on.
Matheus was not happy. When we were leaving the ground, as our coach passed the players entrance , I saw a forlorn looking player waiting outside alone with his kitbag awaiting the players coach. I have not seen a smiley face since. In every bit of training footage since and in both games since the restart he has looked very angry. In our best periods of form this season we have seen many images of Krovinovic and Periera, having fun, and Diangana and Robinson too. The fun seems have gone from our game and I think that therein may lie the problem. Don't get me wrong .....Periera is far and away our best player still, but he plays much better when he is smiling. Slaven please note.

Probably hard when you’re 2 steps ahead of everyone else. Hoping Grady and Krov get some form they all seemed to link well

Summed it up nicely for me Webby, reminds me of Krychowiak a couple of years ago, a top player in a pub team, the look of dismay on his face at times had to be seen to be believed. He read the game well but got a lot of flack.

Periera is on a different level, I hope he does not get too frustrated.

I'm fairly confident he'll be the only one of our players playing PL football next season.

He's carrying the whole starting XI on his back at the moment, unfortunately for him we've got some f*****g elephants.

People are discussing him because this is a thread for him....by commenting you are adding to the thread so I have to ask why?

If you read my post, feel free to tell me what is there that is actually wrong...?

You state he’s worth 30m....have I suggested to the contrary ?
Do you not like others having or stating an opinion?

I did think about it, you've doubled down. Christ. Where's James O'Connor when you need him?

He's not petulant or wasteful. Far too much is made of his supposed diving so there's 3 things.

Well
Has he dived ?
Did I say wasteful?
When he was taken off last night he was showing petulance at the person on the sidelines ...

No, we have requested an extension to the date on which the money has to be paid. I believe this has been agreed.

For what it’s worth my view is that he has been by far our best player since we returned and the frustration he is showing is to his less aware and less gifted colleagues.

Yes. Read somewhere the initial payment for him had been extended from May 30th to June 30th. I don't have the link if anyone's wondering though.

He needs someone near him on the pitch with something close to his speed of thought and ability, which means somehow Krovinovic has to play, otherwise he gets isolated too easily

Agreed, last two games it's been stop Pereira, stop Albion. We need more than just him and Krov though, throw in the pace and skill of Dianaganna and Grosicki out wide and the goal scoring instincts of Robinson on top and then we can be a force again.
