Club Secretary
« on: June 15, 2019, 03:22:14 PM »
Can anyone help me? Can one of the older posters give me a lift?  I’ve been trying to remember the name of Albion’s Club Secretary in the late 70s/early 80s. I recall his first name was Gordon but am struggling with the surname.

Was it Gordon Dimbleby?

Gordon Bennett? He was certainly secretary in the mid 80's.

Gordon Dimbleby was commercial manager but I'm not sure of the years.

Alan Everiss was  Club Secretary from the Sixties until 1980. Don't recall Gordon Dimbleby, and have had a few Gordon Bennett's !

No reason other than I was thinking about when the club almost appointed Alan Mullery as manager, and trying to recall who the Secretary was at the time.

The Everiss's ran the club for years. Alan and his dad Fred. Fred was our longest serving manager as well as being involved in other things. The Everiss's were here when the club was a force and used to win things.

If you look on YouTube video 'West Brom stadium tour', it shows a board with a list of all the club secretaries over the years. G Bennet is listed as being secretary from 1986-89.
