New Kit 2019/20
« on: April 29, 2019, 03:03:44 PM »
New kit to be released this week/ weekend, kits have been added to the tills in the club shop already. Away kit is green/ yellow with yellow shorts and 3rd kit is purple by all accounts! Not ITK but step-daughter works in the club shop so pretty solid  ;D

Just hope you're not getting your family member in some kind of trouble here for passing on info she maybe shouldn't be.........

Not trying to alarm you or anything, just make sure you're not going to get her the sack for sharing this to thousands on the internet before the club have released details :)

Yeah I imagine so, I'm pretty sure Puma signed a 2 year deal didn't they?

Glad to see the yellow and green kit stay, just hope the club order more stock this time.

Wonder who they will use as the 'models' for the kits.

Going off the suits promotion, it was Livermore, JRod, Gibbs.

Tend to use 'the best players' and an academy player, cant see them using Harper unless hes signing a deal, same goes with Gayle.

The video is brilliant. I think the cameos from former players are brilliant and show a good sense of humour, especially from Odemwingie.

The actual kit is bit too similar to last seasons home top aside from the swirly bits on the sleeves. Still think there are more inventive options based on some other clubs with stripes kit templates but it is what it is. If the away id the same in green and yellow I'm not sure it'll work as well as this years. More nostalgia about that design, but I'll wait til I see it

Awful kit, not in the same league as this seasons. The stripes are way too narrow and the middle stripe should be blue.

Not like the Albion to be this organised, as someone else has eluded to, they seem to want the money in early....

There will never ever be a kit everyone's happy with, stripes are always too big or too small!

Smart kit, just glad we are with puma as the fit is perfect.... hated our time with Adidas their fit is so terrible it makes you look like a bag of sh*t tied up unless you go for a smaller size that reveals your moobs. ;D

I think kits are growers anyway based on how well we perform in a given season. Some of the most iconic and popular shirts are necessarily the most ascetically pleasing.

Wasn't keen on initial pics but it's grown on me, so much that I've ordered it.

I'm not so sure that a green and yellow version will sell so well as it doesn't have the same iconic look as last seasons away.

I'm interested in seeing the rumoured lilac shirt.

Can’t believe there are grown men worried about how many stripes are on there and how big they are!

Blue and white stripes that’s all that matters isn’t it
Sorry to be a pedant but that should really read 'Navy Blue and White Stripes'  ;)

I have an Albion garden gnome believe it or not. Last year my partner decided that he looked a bit worn and decided to repaint him. He plays for Brighton and Hove Albion now....... >:(

Some stark and straight choices to be made here Skyclad:

1. Send your partner back into the garden to repaint the gnome in it's original colours.

2. Tell your partner it's imperative they replace the gnome with a new 'real Albion' one.

3. Fk the gnome off because they're a bit naff.

4. Fk your partner off.

Strangely she got quite irate when I pointed out the subtle colour difference. Called me 'ungrateful'!

All 4 options are still on the table Dan, and it always gets a laugh at her expense when our friends are round!

This whole the kits are on sale now due to the club wanting money early is rubbish! Puma pay us x amount to have the rights to sell their merchandise out of our shop.  Obviously we have a say in designs and colour.

My wife suffers from an unfortunately similar predisposition on occasion. Usually after she's cooked something for tea that's more akin to sh it with egg on than digestible food. I too have considered fkn her off for this and several other reasons, but realise she probably has greater cause to preempt me. I may buy her either an Albion gnome or some kitchen utensils for Christmas and see how grateful she is  ;D .

I wouldn't worry about that the seals will knock us out in the semis.

Heretical I know, but am I the only person who thinks that the green and yellow stripes is a garish combination and a bit of a tribute to Norwich?  I actually liked the non-primary tone of green that was the 3rd choice kit two seasons back.  Maybe introduce a very narrow yellow stripe to that.  I am now retiring to my bunker.

I tried one on in Merry Hill today everything I buy is usually XL not in the Albion shop it ain't! I could only get in a 3XL it didn't look right and the collar is awful so sadly I left it.

Always go at least 1 size up with Puma shirts. It's why they now go up to 5 or 6xl  :D

I actually saw one today, in JD Sports in Walsall. I actually think it looks a bit cheap and tacky irl

Anyone who wants a shirt and is flying out of Birmingham airport may want to get it from there, JD duty free has them for £41, better than the £50 in the club shop.

Although unsure of the sleeves I quite liked the look of the tops when they were released online.

Saw a few close up in the pub on the way to the Derby game and more versus the Vile.

I have to say it's not the best it could be when viewed in person.
