All in the name of religion, and how you worship your god.

I unfortunately had to view the stream shortly after the incident due to my employment. I can tell you it is the most abhorrent depraved video you would hopefully never see. Due to this monsters actions many other people may lose their lives. May the victims Rest In Peace.

Absolutely sickening - sometimes you just feel ashamed to belong to the same species.

Condolences to the victims, their families and the people of New Zealand.

Ultimately irrelevant but how do we know the terrorist was religious? Just described as someone espousing 'far right, anti-immigrant views on the BBC.

Let's face it, any kind of extreme religious or political belief is dangerous. People see their way as the only way, believe they have a right to exert their will on others, and eventually something terrible like this happens.

This is a country that I would least have expected to be reading of such an horrendous crime.

If a country like New Zealand is not immune to this type of outrage, what chance does the rest of the world have?

R.I.P. to all those innocent souls that lost their lives while at a most vulnerable time,
praying to their god, a cowardly, despicable and contemptible act against all of humanity whatever, colour, or creed.

This thread is very quiet. Wonder what it would have been like if it was ISIS storming a church and killing 50.

I know what you mean about shame, makes you wonder if it was worth the human race crawling out of the water on 2 legs.

Not sure what you're trying to stir up, but with the political forum gone, threads like this don't get much traction nowadays on here.

Does anybody seriously see this kind of incident getting less
I think things are about to get a lot worse ,look at the anger in this country alone
Brexit is stoking fires, football seems to be getting more aggressive , that's without mentioning the religious issues and social disjointedness

Not helped by people in positions like Sadiq Khan.

The police are currently spending over a third of their budget watching terrorist potential, and a fifth monitoring right wing extremism ....sad times

Sad is the right word, I am not religious but I am doing a fair bit of praying these days.

I think every decent person from whatever religion would condemn this type of attack regardless of background.
To insinuate anything else is pointless and disrespectful to all posters on this site

Got an idea: if they catch the Utrecht shooter alive, stick him in a cage with the Christchurch bloke and leave them there for a week or two.

Unfortunately not
It’s a flip of a coin between what is worse
The escalation in frequency or the way we are almost acclimatised to it ?
