It's good to see many fans acknowledging the class and the contribution of some of the old timers, rather than just raving about players from the 80s/90s onwards. It shows so many have an appreciation of the heritage of this fantistic club of ours.
It's an impossible question. Bassett, Pennington, WG are greats we must never forget. In my youth, Ronnie Allen, Ray Barlow, Joe Kennedy were gods, and I'm surprised no-one mentioned Don Howe.
Cunningham, Johnstone, Bomber Brown, Big Cyrille, the one and only Jeff Astle are giants.
But if I had to pick one - Ronnie Allen.
