Hiya lads and lasses, long time no post! Sorry. I was at Wembley with my Swans supporting family and friends on Monday - fantastic day.
I've watched the Swans fairly regularly with my daughter this season. They play football properly with real attacking style and some defensive steel, now. Very strong at the Liberty with fanatical support. Extremely loud. A threat to us if they spend some sensible money. The also have Ferrie Bodde to return from (very long-term injury) who I'd rate at £2 -3 million if he can stay fit.
Beattie has had few opportunities since Fabio Borini came in January and was more or less the same player as he was for us. Some really hard working performances, a couple of spectacular goals and long periods of useless.
Luke Moore seemed to be repeating his usual trick of (apparently) impressing in training and then being rubbish in front of goal when selected. Then he started to play the best football I've seen from him ever, from about the January window onwards. He "made" a huge number of crucial goals with some adept flicks and turns. He also started scoring - not prolifically, but many more than I for one thought he would!
The Swans have just lost Borini to Parma (pre-contract agreement), so these two will have to make the step up next season, given the scarcity value of decent strikers. I think they are currently both playing better than when they left us, despit not being regular first choices. Make of that what you will..
