Born to be a Baggie
« on: January 08, 2018, 10:09:54 AM »
I'm reading this book at the minute and would recommend it to any baggie who hasn't.
Real good insight into the trials and tribulations of being a Baggie over the last 50 years and, if like me, you were travelling around the country during this time, watching Albion then it will bring back many, many memories. Some good, some not so good but wonderful nonetheless.
Well written, by Dean Walton, a real true Baggie. Give it a go.

Picked up a flyer for this at Exeter on Saturday, going to email the author about getting a copy.

Edit: It's "Proud to be a baggie" I got a flyer for not Born to be a baggie.

I remember Dean from school, he was a baggie as a young kid, quite obsessive back then, sounds like the bug has got worse, will have to get a copy!

Yeah it is, I edited my original post to show that it was "Proud to be a baggie" that I got a flyer for.

Just finished this and have to say, it has given me a renewed vigour for all things Albion.

It's made me remember that I am a Baggie for life and should enjoy the privilege. Looking back at some of the highs and lows I've witnessed, over the last 40 years, made me realise what a big part of my life this club has been, and still is, and I'm proud of that. Whatever league we are in.
To this end, I've decided to stop moaning and just enjoy the ride (not sure how long it will last though, I'm very fickle!).

Really looking forward to Saturday. Cheers Deano!
