Cup every single time. Pressure is all on the Vile for the league game. I'm going to be greedy. No reason we can't beat them twice! I wouldn't mind drawing the cup game and bringing the whelping seal pups back to the Shrine

from the managers perspectives

TP , could look at the league game as a chance to absolutely put space between us and ruin their confidence ahead of the cup match , knowing that even if he goes there and loses, we can still be 2 clear games ahead of them and have the "re-match" soon after

dim Tim , poor bloke ,does he go mad for the points and face getting picked off , loosing 3 on the bounce (and to the enemy ) then looking like (what he is) out of his depth , or does he try and keep it tight and go for a 0-0 which i think is the best he can hope for , off the record he would probably like not to be in the cup , but if they roll over v us they wont forgive..

interesting aint it ??

0-2 to you lot. We're going down with a whimper.
Did you know we won the European Cup?

We're on our worst run of form for 52 years.
We've taken 3 points from the last 36.
We haven't won since December 7th.
We've lost 7 games on the trot.
And of course we've scored 13 goals in 27 games.

You'll never have a better chance to hammer a nail in and beat us twice in one week. Unfortunately I think you will, you'll win both games to nil and my phone will be turned off for a fortnight.

Cup. Will people remember The year Villa went down or the year we won the FA Cup. If its the former, have a word.

Of course, both would be great!

I for one will not complain no matter the result after the form we've been on recently (unless we get smashed 6-0). I do have a bad feeling Villa will click against us, they are that jammy. Hope I'm wrong though.

Lol. That's hardly likely is it, they've barely scored six all season.  ;D

I think they'll see this game as big chance to get the fans onside and their first win under Sherwood. We need an early goal, but with Brown and Bera more than likely out that probably won't happen.

Derby games are a great leveller and the team who's up for it generally comes out on top regardless of form.

After today, I'd be more than happy with a point.

Lets assume Saido & Bobby are out

It would have been more worrying for me losing two centre backs

Lets play two from Sess, Mac & Nabi (Yes Big Vic may play a part)

It has a draw written all over it with our solid two banks of 4 .... maybe sneak a win?

Saturday however will be a different matter and I think we will go for it, especially if we get a result on Tuesday.

Another 0-0 for me, I guess the application of not letting teams around us gain points on us will again result in an Everton/Sunderland style performance! That would satisfy me but how I'd love to bash the Seals twice!! Coming from Handsworth & being born in the early sixties they really are my local rivals!

You just know that the likelihood of us losing this one has decreased signifcantly. Pulis will not want to lose this one, and we can stifle an already awful Villa attack if we can do the same to Southampton.
