A lot of us have been advocating that we start without him. Perfect opportunity to see what happens.

I will put my neck on the block now and say it will not have a good outcome.

Against teams in the bottom half we need to go after games and should not play yacob and Fletcher together. He will be a miss in the the next game.

It all depends on who replaces him. If it is Gardner (as I expect) then I agree. If it is Mozza then I don't see the problem. Our best performance of the Pulis era has come without Fletcher in the side.

Based on some of his performances, and passes in particular, I would say he has had it for the whole year :)

We are playing the form side in the Prem though, so that is a pretty safe assumption with or without Fletcher.
I don't think there is any doubt that Fletcher's form is on a downturn, but he is head an shoulders above Gardner so, if he is the replacement, then I too fear the worst.
Would like to see Morrison or Field come in, but can't see it for a second.

I think Pulis will do everything he can to get him in our starting XI on Saturday

I agree. He played against the Vile at home last season when it was clear that he wasn't fit.

Subbed off after 64 minutes. Anyone know if injury or tactical?

Probably a bit of both, they were chasing the game, doubt he was fully fit.

Wouldn't imagine he will be fit for the weekend if he has struggled to make this one.

If only we had a midfielder ideal to slip into his shoes who is a quality above, such as a Camacho  :-X

No way on this Earth will he be fit for us on Saturday he pushed himself to play and  didn't last the 90. In similar circumstances you absolutely know he wouldn't have done that in his United days. The truth of the matter he hasn't got the legs to play 4 games in two weeks injury or no injury.

Fit or not, Pulis will pick him Saturday.

I thought he was quite poor at the start of last season too , time is catching up with him unfortunately , because he is a good leader on the pitch , hopefully evans will inherit the captains armband if and when fletcher is unavailable.

If I were to rate his seasons:

First half-season: 8/10 - Was exactly what we needed as someone who could keep the ball came in and added needed leadership at the time. It's not spoken about enough in my view, but it was a very good signing at the time and helped improve us.

Last season: 7/10 - Not bad for us, but his game seemed a bit slower and less energetic - as a result he wasn't pulling the strings as much and looked a bit slow at times, but overall was fine.

This season: 5/10 - Very average, hasn't done anything of note and has looked poor at times, looking like his legs are going and as a result being less effective.

Hopefully if he is injured it will also give him a week to get some energy back and he can come back refreshed.

Very much the weak link in the team- needs dropping.
Think he's gone the same way as lescott his legs have gone.
O Albion we love you
