Around 18 hours on and I still cannot understand this appointment.

Perhaps the hierachy has seen something none of us have but I just cannot for the life of me understand what.

Theres no doubt he must be a decent coach having spent alot of his time at Everton but I still feel even though we employ an 'head coach' you still need that experience of managing and two poor spells with Preston and Sheffield Wednesday doesnt fill anyone with confidence.

It's not just the wrong man for me it is the blatant rubbish style of football we will play under him. Cant think of many worse possible appointments. Seriously which players will want to sign for this guy?

The type we've just got rid of, ridgewell, reid etc

Which is what makes this appointment even more baffling.

Yes, I have regrets. I should have waited to see who we appointed but because I like the people I sit by I renewed quickly to guarantee my seat. Whilst I weren't expecting a manager like David Moyes or Michael Laudrup I thought our club had sets its sights a lot higher than basement managers like Alan Irvine whose track record is proven failure. The season just gone was a season of disappointment and depression and I was hoping that after reading Jeremy Peace's comments earlier in this summer that things might be about to change - and yes, things did change. We made things somehow a lot worse so I now look forward to another season of disappointment, depression and uninspiring football.

Just to confirm, if you had a season ticket last year then it's still usable this season? I say this because a new one hasn't arrived, I just want to make sure.

Thanks.

Has anyone heard then ?

There were 16,000 sold by the end to the end of the early deals.
No idea about the total figure though.
