Clean sheet
« on: March 20, 2011, 11:37:06 AM »
When we going to get it?

You would have to think we will keep another clean sheet at some point this season, if we are to stay up. And it does feel a lot more likely with Roy in charge.
One clean sheet and you might see another big improvement in the defence, its a confidence thing and a habit. I do think the defence is looking so much stronger now.

My guess, and hope, is that we will keep our next clean sheet vs Sunderland away. A nice, boring 0-0 draw there, to keep the points ticking over!

I think it is difficult to identify a game where we might keep a clean sheet, although I think we are looking a lot more solid with Roy Hodgson in charge and so I am more confident that we will keep a clean sheet at some point than I was when Roberto Di Matteo was in charge.

I think Hodgson sees it as one of his priorities, so I honestly believe we will keep one or two between now and the end of the season.

I think we'll pick up two between now and the end of the season, defensively we have improved, even though we've conceded two goals yesterday, defensively on the whole we seemed alot better with our organisation skills and players knowing their roles.

I very much doubt it'll be against Liverpool or Chelski!?!

I wouldn't say we "need" one, but obviously it'll be nice, as it means we will at least draw that game.

We've a shot in the Wolves, Villa, Newcastle games.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

Yeah I can see us getting one against Sunderland. One of those football quirks where out only clean sheets are against the same team.

"When" we survive this season it will be a record we can look at and say.. "look how attack minded and entertaining we are, we don't even need clean sheets to succeed"   ;D
