Much better from Grady. I was desperately worried about him in the games since we've returned - looked off the pace, not too interested, poor body language.

However, much, much better. Some of the skill and close-control that he displayed, when taking on Hull players, in his cameo was wonderful; the only way they could stop him was by scything him down.

Deserved his goal too. More of this please!

It will be like Pulis days with Hull at the Shrine today - Park the bus and every Hull player behind the ball looking for a quick breakaway and at least one point.  Bit like Blouse did against us.

It certainly will and I don't blame them one bit - we'd do the same if we were in their position. We've also proved that we're naff playing against teams who operate that way. Up to us to break them down.

Early goal is key!

Grosicki off the bench for me.

Same starting 11 as mid week, but with Robinson instead of Diangana.

I'm with you on that one - I feel that Diangana would be better from the bench at the minute. Robinson linked up brilliantly down the left hand side and looked full of confidence.

Let's go!

Slaven Bilić makes five changes for tonight’s clash with @swfc

Dara O’Shea, Kyle Bartley, Rekeem Harper, Filip Krovinović and Charlie Austin replace Darnell Furlong, Semi Ajayi, Jake Livermore, Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu.

SJ; O'Shea, Bartley, Hegazi, Gibbs; Harper, Sawyers, Krov; Diangana, Austin, MP.

5
I can just imagine the melt down on here if the result dont go our way tonight. KTF

And I would say there would be just cause for a 'meltdown' too with the current form and situation. Here's hoping there won't be...  :-X

Biggest league game in years. Win and we could see the confidence flood back; lose, and I can only see capitulation, questions of Bilic and the squad. Nervous...

Pretty sure he played in the friendlies

He scored against Villa, didn't he?

Something is certainly amiss.

Garbage, rubbish, dross - anymore adjectives to describe that pathetic excuse for a performance? What has the manager been planning and prepping during the lockdown? That formation that Slav keeps going back to is done. Finished. Teams know how to play against it and I hate to say it, but if you score first against us at the moment, you'll win the game.

Thought both full backs were awful - Furlong doesn't even look Championship standard. Bullied by their left-hand side tonight.

This is when the manager needs to earn his money. The next two games need to be six points and to get back to scoring goals. On that note, do we look like scoring? The expected goal ratio that we've produced recently has been horrendous. Although the players need to come in for criticism, that's down to the tactics and the manager.

433 - Krov, O'Shea and Townsend all to come in. Much better balance in the team.

Getting squeaky...

I wonder if it’s travel trouble . If he got back to Poland he would have to quarantine for 14 days on return at the mo

Fans would’ve been told this, surely? I can’t believe he wouldn’t be on the bench..

Absolute garbage again. No intensity, no idea on how to create, nobody busting a gut to get up the pitch. This 4231 has no fluidity - we have no options up there pitch (teams could play without a keeper at the minute) and there are gaps everywhere when defending. Team selection looks so, so poor at the minute.

Are we playing for promotion or what? Sort it out, Slav - it’s a shambles regarding effort and tactically at the minute.

You don't want to be harsh but it was rubbish yesterday. Pep Clotet's after-match comments show that he was delighted to even have a 'couple' of chances, and that they desperately didn't want an open game. However, the pace that we played at, the fancy flicks when we weren't creating anything close to a chance, the full backs seemingly both not attacking (strange for the type of players that they are), lead to a desperately poor performance.

Also, how can we not have tested Lee Camp!? He is comfortably the worst goalkeeper at this level by some distance.

Poor performance but happy with the clean sheet; didn't think either team deserved the win, nor did enough to lose it.

Our offensive play looked extremely impotent, with Pereria struggling to shake off this 'sticky patch' in form.

Think Slav's subs were poor again (as they have been as of late). Not that I particularly think he is the answer, but Austin deserves more game time than he has had recently. Losing against Wigan: he didn't come on (although we had to use one substitution for the Hegazi switch) and drawing 0-0, his presence in the box may have gifted the win - who knows.

We move on and that Blues game looks a biggy now.

That was a pathetic, passionless performance.

I'm not buying all this 'three games in a week' - every team in the league has to do it. Wigan had two away games, while we had two home games. No excuses.

Couldn't believe Pereria's antics - especially when he went down near the end. We were losing! Get on with the game!

Honorable mentions to Phillips, who once again looked as if he lacked desire, and Slav for his poor subs. He's got a lot right this season, especially with the players coming off the bench, but HRK was blowing and Austin may not have made much of a difference, but we needed a change up top.

I also couldn't believe when Johnstone took an age to take the goalkick at the end. Where was the urgency?

However, credit must be given to Wigan; they completely deserved the three points today. Tactics and application was spot on.

It’s frustrating that we only conceded one shot on target, yet lose 2 goals. It seems that the opposition don’t have to do a lot to score past us. Having said that, the blame for yesterday can not be attributed to SJ in any way.

What I don’t like - and I’ve noticed it for some time - is that he walks off the pitch at the end of the game straight away. No claps. Nothing. Even yesterday, one Forest player was near him but he was off like a shot.

I can’t blame him for being annoyed at ‘some’ of the criticism he’s received this season, but you’d like a bit more back from him, especially after home games.

Really concerned with the physicality of that team selection today.

Big game this today after yesterday's results. On paper a point would be good, but with how close things are we must try and get the three points.

I really hope we can use this as a turning point, with the return of Pereria and the new boys and kick on once again.

Composed and had some nice balance with Robinson against Luton , getting better on the job .
Top draw ? No but Ok and  can do a job.

Played well but you’ve got to look who he is against.

Deserves to keep his place but you know exactly what Millwall are doing next Sunday: Big Matt Smith with big diagonals aimed at Connor. I hope we have a plan to combat it; put it that way.

Pleased by the early reports from family at the game and online reports. Seems to have worked well with HRK when he came on. I hope he grows into our side and helps get us back to the form we need for promotion.

He linked really nicely with Krovinovic - lots of one twos.

It was actually his desire and determination on and off the ball that really stood out for me. We've had some loan signings over the years that simply have not done that.

A good start. More of the same at Millwall please, Callum.

Did what we had to do against - and with no disrespect intended - league one opposition.

Thought we were average but really enjoyed seeing Krov and Robinson (who was impressive as an inside forward) link up well.

Bilic’s team selection - including that awful full back pairing - has cost us; as well as his decision to continue, even playing at Cardiff away, to play the ball out from the back despite the high press.

Words fail me.

I'd give him a shot in a 433 and change of system (ditch playing two holders - especially at home).

However, I'm not sure Cardiff away on a Tuesday night will be the game for him. We'll see...

I'll add that Cavare for them looked very good as well at Right back. If we lost Ferguson in the summer I'd go in for him, he's only 24 too.

I thought he was fantastic. Pace, power and he really intimidated Diangana. He was actually scared to take him on!

Make no mistake about it, we could have easily have drew or lost that game. However, a perfect 1-0 away from home (not usually an easy place to go) if you are going to be considered contenders for the top two.

Johnstone deserves huge credit for making vital saves, which gave us a platform to go on and win the game.

Bartley and Livermore also played very well. These are three players who I will usually be the first to criticise too.

Pereria also got better as the game went on, especially in the last 20 minutes. Credit to Hal for his link up play, which led to chances for some of the other players behind him.

The only gripe would have been the Hegazi sub. Sometimes, I think it can be more detrimental to a team if you bring a defender on in the last 5 minutes and it changes the shape. It could have been costly with his extremely late lunge - anybody else have their heart in their mouths!? The better sub would have been to bring Brunt on for Diangana, who looked absolutely shot in the last 10 minutes.

Onwards and upwards!

I’ve got to say, even taking away all offensive elements to his play, first and foremost his defending (his box, crosses, one-on-ones) absolutely superbly.

New deal please!
