I disagree. I think Reid is savvy which is why he ensured his foot made no contact with him and there was clear daylight between his foot and Carzola. Shocking dive and refereeing decision.
No sorry, I can't have that. Reid was pulling his leg out of the way when Cazorla decided to cheat. If he had made contact then yes, I would criticise him, but he actively rectified his earlier mistake. We are getting into dangerous territory when we start looking for excuses and justifications for cheats, when really we should condemn this kind of behaviour outright.
It's hard to change a winning team, but I expected more changes against Swansea, give some of the squad a game with the intention of trying to keep the run going, or at least giving a good show. As it turned out, making the changes for Sat after a defeat just seemed to put more pressure on the players, and now we've had 2 lacklustre performances. Interesting selection process coming up for the Arsenal...
IMHO, not knocking Steve.
Shane Long has been outstanding, just like when he arrived before his injury. He literally terrorizes defenders (top class too), and for his moderate size is very powerful and has one of the best leaps in the Prem. Remember last season when a lot of us were unsure whether he an Pete could play in the same team? Seems like a bit of a silly notion now doesn't it.
I still remembering him tearing Chelsea another hole a few years ago at Stamford Bridge. It would be good o have him on the bench.
29 from 20 would still be no disaster Liam though and we would be beginning to look a the looming spectre of safety. I dont know though. At the beginning of the season I just thought new coach plenty of enthusiasm to impress and a dollop of Roystons magic carried over. Now the more I watch us I think If I were a neutral looking on Id be thinking this lot are a very good side. Sometimes difficult as Baggies to think like that as were so used to the ups and downs but the facts are we seem to be able to keep a grip of games and maintain our form like never before. Could all go wrong yes but although it seems a bit surreal I find myself thinking Chelsea better be right on their A game or they could be in trouble.
The back 4 are playing with real belief and discipline these days.
Whenever asked about Foster its a bit like eing a judge on xfactor , whatever you say will either be boooooed or applauded.
I think he is a good guy , genuinely happy to be here and is a generally good goal keeper and decent enough for us.
I also think he is prone to one mistake per match , distribution is not as good as Carson , slightly overated by our fans.
Agree. But Mozza got much further forward in the second half and we started to boss the game. Marco would been a better change for Shane to keep control of the game. As a result we dropped a little too deep last 20 and we paid for it. Still a great point though.
Why would we want to change the fundemental part of our achievements over the last ten years - quietly, professionally and without self promotion.
