Don’t get the hatred

Always gives 100%, didn’t pick himself and scored against villa 😀

Non of the 3 have looked spectacular, imo Austin the worse of the 3, it doesn’t help being in / out , we need to play one and tell them (whoever it is) that they have the next 5 games

Jaysus! HRK for 5 games, that should see us through to mid table
Like others have said, our strikers are pretty poor.
Dress it up anyway you like they are pants

Does anyone know why Austin was not started or used at all?

We have 3 strikers (I use the term loosley) , HRK, Zohore, Austin.
To decide which one to play is like asking you which leg you want amputating. You really don't want either put you have to pick one.
Personally, I'd go with trying Phillips in a more forward central attacking formation and play Krov in mf.
Leave the 3 stooges on the bench.

I think his performances started to taper off towards the end of last season, he started to look like he couldn't be arsed, especially against Derby.
That and the sudden interest by Celtic I think probably put other things into his head.
Still a bit concerting that he isn't even making the squad when he showed so much potential last season.
Didn't we tie him up into a new deal at the start of the season as well?

Have not been impressed with our first team striker options and this summer's two transfers both of which smacked of desperation in my opinion, certainly Austin. HRK getting game time yet again tells me that we have problems in this area.

What hasn't been discussed is why Willock isn't getting a look in. Can anyone update me on his situation and how he has performed in I presume the reserves.

And also are there any promising youngsters in the forward position that are close to the first team?

Haven't seen Willock myself but according to one poster on here who has seen him in the U23's, he's no where near first team yet.
Obviously the fact that Bilic hasn't even put him on the bench would bear this out

To be honest all three strikers look below what we need.
I'd even consider playing Phillips as our most forward midfielder and bring Krovinovic into the midfield, play without a recognised striker.

Sad we lost but not disappointed, worth a draw all day long on that performance.
Only weak link in this side is in the striking dept.
All three are useless, Austin probably the best option at least he links up play better than the other two.
None of our current strikers will get anywhere near double figures this season
We need to be in a position to bring a striker in during January.
The midfield look unplayable at times, with a Gayle type player up front we'd walk this division

No changes...first time I have questioned his decisions
Maybe he can see HRK actually affecting this game

Need not to concede again before half time.
I can see HRK getting hooked at half time

Johnstone doesn’t even move
To be fair is was going wide until it took a deflection

We’ve given these too much respect for my liking. I can see why he started HRK with the need to press but we’re basically playing with 10 men, he’s a League One striker.

We’re going to have someone sent off soon, can’t get a foot on the ball.
What must Zohore think?
He's effectively 3rd choice

Its a great performance, I am just saying I didnt like his celebration thats all

To be fair I think he was implying that the game was over nothing else, but he does need to keep a lid on it

Saw on TV that some QPR fans called him over to shake his hand and tell him how good he was.
Fair play to them for that

The actual only down side to me, if i am honest when I saw that celebration I was not impressed. I guess being foreign he does not get the issues we are having with knife crime ect. I hope he is spoken to for further celebrations, I would hate the club to be given negative press ect. Sorry to sound a bore

Great second half performance, exciting kids, top of the league, then this  ::)

I haven't been so excited for years about the young talent we have in our squad

I am actually thinking that we will be lucky to keep hold of him to be honest, he is a class act for an 18 year old.

Yep me too.
Lets just enjoy his time here

I’m loving these early games as it gives me a chance to watch it live.

I think 2-0 flattered QPR. With some better finishing it could have easily been 3-0 or 4-0.

Ferguson easily player of the match.

Diangana and Pereira are class acts and God help us if they ever get injured or recalled.

Robson-Kanu did well when he came on, thought he got into space and had a couple of good chances.

Farnell, Ajayi and Ferguson all solid at the back but Bartley still scares me.

Good for Johnstone to get a clean sheet hopefully give him some confidence.

If we can stay healthy and be consistent we have the players to give this comp a shake.

Come on, he hardly put a foot wrong.
Only rick I can recall is when Hugill got between him and Ajayi and had a free header.
