Still a bit sore that Sandro didn't get sent off, as I think at that point we had them on the ropes and would have gone on to win it fairly comfortably. But Spurs are clearly a class side, and you have to take your chances when the opposition has Adebayor and Defoe upfront.
We clearly tired towards the end and the players gave everything, I thought Morrison was fantastic but in the last 15 minutes he was knackered and didn't help mulumbu out enough for me, they were carving through us in the last 10 and he drifted out of the game a little

To sum up, a decent performance but shame we didn't take advantage of it. Boing boing!

Great game !! Anyone know what scharner had on his undershirt that he showed the eaststand ??

I read on Twitter that it was a plain T-shirt with our badge printed on it!  ;D

Letting a two-goal lead slip is unacceptable, but once that happens you have to hope for the point, they were easily going to win if we had went to attack.

Decent points to be fair, but the thing that grates on me isn't the amount of attacking that occurs, I think it's more the way it happens. I can appreciate we needed to defend the point, and 2-2 isn't the end of the world, but when the opportunity comes to attack once we've regained possession again, why "attack" by putting the ball straight back on the defenders heads so they can build another attack? Then we wait, intercept, and the same happens again. There's being defensive, and there's being almost suicidal by giving possession straight back to the other team

They were there for the taking and yet again we've failed to capitalise, started brightly but then...Just stopped. Hoofing the ball forward wont work, maybe for a team with the physical presence and height of Stokes team, but Odemwingie and Long battling with defenders like Turner in the air? We had Turner all over the place in the first 10 minutes and our players were running rings around the Sunderland defense with quick precise passing, why change it?

It's simply not working. I'm a fan of Hodgson and think he's a decent bloke, I'd never resort to personally insulting him but he's getting it wrong this year as far as I'm concerned, so wrong, the players aren't responding and our top scorer from last year doesn't seem interested, is it the case or is it tactical? Either way, the tactics need to be adapted to suit him, or he needs dropping. Why play a total passenger who the games pass by? It was like playing with 10 men today

15th and a point away from Sunderland isn't bad, but they were weak, with a manager under pressure and a player up for sexual assault and drugs charges. Their defense was slow, and we played right into their hands by feeding their tall, strong defense long balls right onto their heads. This is a team we should be beating, and it was very disappointing to see us self-destruct at the first sign of any Sunderland pressure. Something needs changing

People are sounding like the Liverpool fans we were slating a few months ago for their treatment of Hodgson...

I don't think pointing out that his tactical approach to games isn't working well really compares to the personal abuse he was getting at Liverpool to be honest

Again, another massive long ball, this time Long on the end of it but there's nothing he can do to keep possession.

Long ball just isn't working.

I think most of us could see that in the first few games, I don't understand why Hodgson's insisting we play this way, Odemwingie and Long aren't exactly the tallest and while Long has a "good leap", it isn't enough, he either gets bundled over, or theres no-one ahead of him to knock it on to or pass to. We must be the most predictable team in the league right now, which is why its even more baffling that Tchoyi doesn't play, being the most unpredictable player around

Thomas on is another confusing one

I just don't get why West Bromwich Albion managers have to have that stubborn streak in them where they refuse to change something when it's quite simply not working

I think it's clear to most now, the commentator referring to a 3rd Sunderland goal as "the icing on the cake", got a feeling of inevitability about it, need to get Pete off. Why leave him on? What is he contributing?

For Elmohammady to have this much space down Sunderlands right hand side is absolutely criminal, watching that attack then, Sunderland had 4 players running at our 4 defenders. Our 4 defenders simply don't know what to do, they're not good enough to have 4 premiership players belting directly at them, they need some sort of support from the midfield

Getting no decisions what so ever. The ref isn't falling for Long falling over and is having none of Olssons robust challenges or Mulumbu using his body to retain the ball. If we adapt, this game is still for the taking

Still don't think there's anyone who supports our club who can see the sense in not at least signing competition for Shorey. Or even retaining Cech. Shorey's completely out of form and every single attack is down the Sunderland right hand side

Odemwingie needs replacing in my opinion, I can't see his afternoon getting any better, hope I'm wrong

The Twitter rumours are rubbish, why would the club completely contradict Hodgson sticking up for Tamas after the match and fine him?! I wouldn't trust anything you read on there.

On Match of the Day they were saying that the ref couldn't have possibly seen the incident or would've given a red card and a penalty. If I was a Norwich fan I'd probably feel hard done by but I honestly don't think it was intentional and I also think the ref saw and decided there was no intent. Which means he can't get a ban can he?

Hope he doesn't, bar one wayward pass which some fans have jumped on, Tamas was my man of the match

Happy days, I was expecting a draw at best to be honest. Even though its early days this is a huge 3 points in my opinion.

It baffles me that some people can't even enjoy it when we win away from home to be honest, the fact that we had to defend right until the end and fight for that clean sheet will surely give all the defenders a huge confidence boost! Norwich are the type of team we should be beating, I agree, but Carrow Road will be the undoing of a lot of teams this year and it's a huge relief to get the 3 points

For me Tamas had a great game, he isn't he most convincing on the ball but he was winning headers and hoofing the ball out of dangerous positions under A LOT of pressure. On the flip side I thought Scharner was a huge weak link and struggle to think of him finding a team mate throughout the whole game.

But sod it, who cares, fantastic 3 points

Wonder what the Carson haters think of the saviour now >:(

Isn't you sarcastically referring to Foster as "the saviour" as bad as those who used to sarcastically mention Carson to make a point? So petty, give it a rest, it's not constructive and only brings up old tensions

Didn't Hodgson say leaving Dorrans out was fitness related and he expects him to be a key player by mid-September?

BBC 5 Live thought it was George Thorne with an "Excellent pass" to set up Cox?

Either way, nice to see both Cox and Fortune on the scoresheet to keep the other strikers on their toes!

After reading some of the anti - Morrison shoite, from the FM 2011, brigade on here

What's FM2011 got to do with not rating a player? I'm sure everyone's opinion will be based on their interpretation of performances which they have witnessed. I watch him over 90 minutes and simply don't see what he brings to the team. He's a tidy player on the ball who can find a pass, but there's simply better options in my opinion. Dorrans is also a good player on the ball, but one who I feel contributes far more game-changing passes and moments in general.

Its not that Morrison ever has a particularly awful game, but in my opinion (bar the token one in every 15 games screamer) he very rarely effects our results as much as the players who he is keeping on the bench at the minute

Besides, he's dead good on FM2011  :P
