Personally speaking because I still believe we have a good side with some quality players, furthermore we have strengthened since the last game.
You advocate a 'change in direction' - bit ambiguous, do you mean we should sack the manager?
If you want a direct answer. Yes I think he needs to go.
We have some great players at our club (the best in my lifetime) and we have added to them over the summer. Yet we have a coach who believe's that we should play these players out of position (Dorrans, Morrison) instead of playing players that are suited to those positions.
We have a guy who is yet to prove himself in the premier league. Yes we finished the season 8th but if we had a consistant manager/coach who knows where we could have finished.
We have been on a worse run of form than those of Di Matteo/Mowbray yet he's still here and the only reason is because it overlaps two seasons.
We show zero sign of improving on that (two shots on target in two home games) and he seems to have ran out of idea's already.
And you know when he lost it for me? When he went back on playing Odemwingie during that one game he had the row with the fan.
I didn't want Pete to feature at all again for our club and I thought to myself that day fair play for making a bold decision and picking him for the squad.
What did he do? He bottled it. Lost all my respect and probably the players too!
We didn't do much wrong as a club re Odemwingie but that was the day that set the tone for the rest of the season.
He's got a fantasic pedigree as a number two but when it comes to making the big decisions he has none experience.
We need someone who has there own idea's who can get the best out of the players who isn't scared of upseting the fans.
Dispite having a Director of Football we lack a manager, a man who can motivate a group of players.
We have a coach who is great when we're on top but no so much when we're scrapping as we are showing now.
