Another red today. Are we losing our heads a little too easily of late?

Why why why do we keep singing the cabbage song about the villa. We go 1-0 up away at Rotherham and it’s all I hear from the cringey singing section. It’s embarrassing them singing that, especially when others are trying to get other songs going.

I hate the villa just as much but come on sing about the Albion and back them!

The worst one for me that keeps getting started is the ‘1 nil and you f.... it up’. It’s not like they were 4-0 up and we pegged them back is it?

Here you go make your own mind up I thought he trod on him accidentally trying to get out of the way

That’s exactly how I saw it. Reckon from the linesman’s angle he’s seen the leg go down after (when JRod lands on the grass over him) and thought that was the stamp since the bloke was rolling round. Imagine it’ll be rescinded. Their bloke then didn’t help himself feigning injury later on when Johnstone got booked either which may help us.

Not sure they are done as footballers. Chris brunt defiantly isn't a cm even if in a 3 man unit. Worth his weight in gold as a utility left back or somebody you can throw on and sling crosses in.

Morrison had done well since his comeback. Both need to be fringe players and have for a long time but the club never evolved. If we got promoted I think at best they are squad players we can't have them as mainstays.

Be good if he could get some decent crosses in

All of the midfield trio were awful in fairness. Brunt and Morrison are done as footballers, let’s be honest, legs have gone.

Agreed, I’d also add that Barnes had another poor game and Sako didn’t show much either.

Can you explain to me where we're you getting the money to buy Dack and travenier in summer?

Why would we want or need to buy either of them in January?

Poor officiating again in my opinion, similar to the last game. Lots of inconsistencies

That red was woeful. Awful decision!

But who knows, maybe without it we wouldn't have equalised.

Think the linesman was trying to get his face on the cameras. The ref sees it and does nothing, from a closer position, then the linesman from miles away starts waving.

Although we played better after the red, I think that was down to the changes rather than the 10 men. I think we may have seen JRod subbed for Kanu and Sako left on if it wasn’t for the red.

Apart from the goal it wasn’t a great game for Chris. Needs to be getting the ball into a better area from corners, although we probably missed having Hegazi’s presence in the box too

Just want to mention Livermore who I think has been one of our best players over the past month. Not his best game today but is always there to break the play up and find a pass.

Nonsense. Get a result against Blackburn and he will be up for manager of the month.

9 games unbeaten and gaining on Norwich and Leeds every week. Can’t please everyone

A frustrating game but will take a point on reflection. We’ve made a point up on both Leeds and Norwich today which can’t be a bad thing. Could see the disappointment on our players’ body language at the end of the game though, as they felt they could have won that.

We were always going to struggle after conceding the early sloppy goal and Wednesday reverting to 10 behind the ball.

Thought the refereeing was poor again, similar to the Wigan game. How Johnstone gets himself booked and the bloke who was apparently so injured he needed a physio gets up and runs off right after without anything from the ref, I don’t know.

Also have to admit I celebrated that equaliser like I’ve never done before! Glad to have the Albion bug back again.

Wall didn't look setup right when they hit the post?

Was set up perfectly as Sam could leave it to go for a goal kick after hitting the post. Should do that for all free kicks!

Absolutely not. He is a better player than either of those mentioned. And although not what you would call a natural goal scorer like Gayle, does weigh in with a fair number of goals.

He’s only 1 behind Gayle at the moment.

The atmosphere has been fine this season. Certainly at a few of the ‘bigger’ games it’s been better this year than for a while. Boxing Day was always going to be quieter; a bumper crowd of non-regulars plus the day after Xmas so a lot of hangover nursing, plus it was Wigan

A bit worried about this one now with the potential injuries that we’ve got. Really shouldn’t have made the last game such hard work and could have afforded testing a few

Been the better team. More of the same second half and we’ll win this.

Thought he was our weakest defender first half he was playing to narrow and kept getting caught out when leeds sent the ball out wide. Thought he should have scored as well.Excellent second half though winning the ball for Barnes's goal. .

Seemed to me that we kept converting from 3 at the back to 4 at times yesterday. Agree that our right back area was clearly targeted by Leeds and on a few occasions we got caught 2 on 1 with lots of empty space where Tosin/Phillips should have been. Saying that though I felt Tosin was solid and won pretty much everything.

Me too. I thought he was arguably our weakest player today. That said he still gave a good, solid 7/10 performance. It was just such a strong team performance.

Given that he's not a natural right back he did well but clearly we still need to desperately get a right back in as soon as we can.

Must have been watching a different game. He was the best of our back 3 by miles

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Hal Robson-Kanu Joins Albion
« on: November 10, 2018, 09:42:59 PM »

No he doesn't he's usually awful. That said he's usually played through the middle.

Playing as a wide forward today suited him much better. Had the best game I've seen him have for us.

Sorry I’m not someone who’s on board with the hate for Hal. Yes he’s limited but he usually holds the ball up better than our other forwards (which is why he gets brought on more often than not) and took his finish well today. I took great pleasure cheering in the face of the guy who sits behind me who was shouting how s*** he is the entire game when he scored.

Big mention to Hal who put in a very good performance (as he usually does to be fair) and got the goal he deserved. I know he gets a lot of stick but at this level he’s good at holding the ball up and not a bad finisher when it comes to it

Funny we play a couple of centre mids in their correct position and do well
