Annoys me especially that they've mentioned about fans wearing the poppies too. I can understand (all though don't agree) with not having it on player shirts, but to stop fans wearing what they want is a bit dictatory

Think this will be much like the Chelsea game, but expect the mm to attack a bit more so we'll really have to be on our game defensively. Good on the counter too which we've been prone to the last few weeks in particular

Brunt looked tired. Although playing Phillips and Brunt on their 'weaker' sides has been productive, maybe they need to switch back and for a bit more. We saw the benefit of Brunt's crossing from the left against Swansea, which we don't see when he's on the right. Phillips has the pace and is good enough with either foot to be a decent threat down the both sides.

Agree totally with this. Thought this is where we struggled. A couple of times Brunt in particular found a yard of space but ended up on his right foot and didn't put a cross in.

However think Chadli was the weak link of the 3 behind Rondon and didn't do enough to link the play up for me against United

What do you mean 'well no'. It's called sports personality of the year, not sports person of the year.. Agree on Farah however. Looking down the list of final nominees he's the only one I'd associate with having a personality that you'd remember him for. As a side note, what a ridiculous award, why not just make it greatest achieving sports person of the year?

How Murray won sports personality I'll never know. Surely you need a personality to win?

Moan when we have poor attendances, then moan when people turn up for the games against the big teams?

Think I must be a tourist, as I travel from another area of the country to view the sights at the ground. An area of outstanding beauty you could say!

Think he fell over plenty of times against United and got nothing in return from the ref. Some looked like fouls, some looked 50/50 to me.

How about use his size and physical advantage against the likes of rojo and Jones who are half the size of him? A couple of games I've seen him struggle against what look like physically smaller defenders. Yes he managed to out play the Swansea defence, but why not repeat that again in the next game?

Yeah massive bias towards United I thought. If thay was one of ours who did what Ibrahimovic did it would have been a red. Some strange decisions for a lot of the small niggly tackles. Ibrahimovic must have committed about 5 more fouls after his yellow too. The amount of diving and dissent towards the ref that went unpunished was a joke too

My assessment of yesterday's game.

We got matched physically, where we usually come out on top which allows us to keep a couple of opposition players out of the game. Thought Ibrahimovic went too far however and should have been sent off for his shoulder. Or at least for the 5 fouls he committed after while being on a yellow already.

Thought the three behind Rondon didn't work, and therefore we didn't get any service to him. 1 shot on target says it all. Think we made a mistake playing Brunt and Philips on their wrong sides for about 60 mins. Even if they did manage to beat their man they were on their wrong foot to put the cross in. Since this is such a big part of our game it really cost us attacking wise. Leko looked immediately more threatening by being able to put crosses in after beating his man.

Thought we actually defending reasonably well. They caught us on the break early, and had clearly targeted our right hand side in the first half. Thought Nyom got beaten far too easily and should have gone shoulder to shoulder with Lingaard who he is physically superior to. That stops the cross even going in the box. The second goal takes a massive deflection and probably wasn't going in before that.

Thought Yacob played really well and passed it round better than I'd seen in a while. Our defenders cannot pass without Evans in the side though! So shocking balls that gifted possession back to United on many occasions.

Anyway we'll hopefully have Evans back for next game, and we can get our 3 behind Rondon to play back to their best again. On a side note I think we definitely need to look at a second striker in January. Games like that where Rondon isn't really getting a look in and we don't have anyone to change our style as a striker on the bench.

Bloody away fans!!! Some always go out of their way to make us look badly supported. :P

Just responding to the lowest ever premier league attendance comments. Like I said if Swansea had brought a few more fans too it wouldn't have been the lowest and we wouldn't be discussing it

I'm sure if Swansea brought an extra 500/800/1000 it wouldn't have been the lowest attendance ever in the prem either. Also was on a Wednesday night in the run up to Christmas

Won one drawn one at home under TP.

They've won 7 of the 12 times we've played them in the premier league, 1 draw and 4 wins for us. Always seems to be 2 goals or more too

Is young Wilson injured?  I'd rather see him at right back and keep Nyom at left back v Swansea

Either way it'll be a new full back, and if I were the opponent that's where I'd be targeting. By focusing on the full back it also means our winger is more occupied with defending rather than attacking

Well people like you really boil my piss aswell, no one at the club or you have a right to stop anyone going to any match they pay their money and have as much right as anyone to be there, according to your post opening you wasnt even there!!

Actually they do.. The FA match tickets terms and conditions of sale say:

"2.2 - By applying for a Ticket and/or using the same you nearby warrant and represent that you are a supporter of the team whose name is endorsed upon that Ticket"

"Without prejudice to any other remedies it may have. The FA shall have the right in the case of any serious or persistent breach of these Terms & Conditions of Entry to cancel and withdraw any ticket issued to you. By way of example the following circumstances are each considered by The FA to constitute a serious breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry:
...
Any misrepresentation related to clause 2.2
..."

So the FA, and the football club does indeed have the right to stop anyone going to any match, regardless of whether they've paid their money. They also won't give a refund either if they have to withdraw a ticket.

Hope games like today don't dent his confidence. Couldn't beat his man and kept trying a nutmeg. Hopefully see him back to his best against Swansea, although will he have to track back more than usual due to having a different left back than usual? Can see Swansea targeting the two full backs

Can we make a pass to our own man from a throw in . So frustrating

Need a calmer head in midfield to keep the ball, we've resorted to hoofing it a bit
