Personally feel sorry for RDM If he gets the boot, he had a good record with us, played good football, then to win champs league with Chelsea to then again to get the boot Is a shame. BUT to get the boot from Villa thats got to be one ALMIGHTY slur on your managerial CV

I wonder , when the takeover is finally completed and Pulis has his 1st formal meeting with the new owners , if he'll swing open the door , walk in and his opening gambit will be " HELLO CHINESE "  :o

The only reason I can see Tony deciding not to get players now is if the ownership told him he can use the money in the winter instead.

.

If were at the wrong end of the table come the January transfer window , the same players will cost more due to t
he "desperation factor" .

He really needs to up his game to encourage suitors to come in for him, be that on a free or not.
This transfer window Stoke , Palace ,
previous window spurs , Newcastle ,
next window,  probably no one given he'll only have a bit of his contact left...

On current form this tribunal fee is diminishing by the game....

Every chance he signs abroad in January in which case we get zilch which is what the club deserve after playing games with him for the last three windows.

So called "super agent" on 5 live gave an example of "a player" almost out of contract and under 24 years of age , going abroad for a number of months, maybe a year, leaving on a free , but then coming back to England and generating a good transfer fee for the foreign club but nowt for the original club.....
When it was put to him , was it Berahino ? he wouldn't say a yes or a no....
He just confirmed that the agent would make about £5 million out of the deal...
He made it sound that this had ALREADY been agreed/organised...

Ha these posts always make me laugh. The great season ticket conspiracy. If you think Peace or the club are strange enough to try and trick us you're barmy. They wouldn't waste their time. If your decision to buy a season ticket is based on takeovers and transfers you're barmier.

Agree with this , for every 1000 supporters ,  IF as a result of being persuaded by "SPIN" to renew their season ticket ,  would contribute to  ONE players wages for approximately 6 weeks....    Not much in the grand scheme of things, when we are talking about £100.000,000 TV deals and £20,000,00+ transfer fee for the brat....

All by the way are Monopoly figures for the majority of fans  :o

Probably best to cash in NOW , because if he had another bit part season like he did the last and then no international tournament to follow to showcase himself in , I think we would struggle to recoup the initial transfer fee we paid for him.

« on: July 22, 2016, 02:03:04 AM »
I would rather have Myhill for collecting crosses over foster any day, BUT he's slow to get down on some shots, I've thought he could have thrown his cap on some he's let in, in the past, Foster only slightly better on reaction saves, but his big let down is that he often flaps at crosses.
If we could merge the 2 we would have a good keeper....

Wolves fans in my local on Saturday night were getting all exited about bringing in five £20 M players, I did mention FFP and  if they had ever heard of it ! but they were consumed with " beating  yow lot  next year " strangely enough we haven't really talked much football for the last few years......

just seen this on E&D comments page referring to wolves takeover....

"Can't believe some of you lot. We want to play with the big boys, in the big boys league; we'll it is coming. Big business is knocking on the door, and is going to punch an almighty hole through it.

Hold tight, you will see what investment looks like.

Not empty promises and bargain basement signings.

Be gone stagnation and welcome the Wolves New Army, taking up arms to march on the capital; like a Brexit land slide that will give the elite big boys a Black Country right hander.

Yes, it will come with risk.

Risk and success march hand in hand. So join as one.

Let's us show the world the Gold and Black Army in full battle cry. I for one can see the light shooting out of the darkness like a Chinese lazier with Black Country particles attached for domination. Your club needs you, the new owners need you. Steve Bull needs you, Mike Bailey needs you. Come on me Babbies let's hear the Molineux Wolf roar. Rrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooorrrrrrrrr."

must be a baggie WUM  :) :) :)

I'd like to see for our defence the NI lads in the line up, plus Dawson ( for continuity) , but it still leaves the dilemma of fitting Chester in , at £8M JP ain't going to be best pleased if he's only warmin the bench.. He will be McCaulys replacement long term, but I can see Ollson only being used as a sub ( fingers crossed )

I couldn't agree more. Berahino has the potential to be a good player, but that's all it is at the moment.
In the last few years Odemwingie was streets ahead of Berahino, and going back a bit further Kevin Phillips was a far superior finisher, and also contributed more outside the box.  At 24 years of age surely you must remember those two.

It's such a shame that people who think the likes of Berahino are top players can't go back to see the likes of Cunningham, Regis, Bomber, the King, Chippy Clark etc etc, and not just short youtube clips, but seeing them live in full flow, on a muddy pitch, when the likes of Norman Hunter and Chopper Harris were after them

add willie Johnston to that .....
