Poco gets my vote -has made fewer costly errors when on the pitch than any other except perhaps Gamboa

Seasoned pros make mistakes when they are under pressure.  Our defense is under constant pressure because we defend too deep and do not have an outlet to relieve that pressure. These are our coaches instructions.

Just posted similar - wish I had phrased it this way

Not on his own but his distribution yesterday was appauling

Very true but when there is nobody showing for the ball where do you pass to? Not just the passing which was poor but the whole shape and set up. Second half especially no midfield regularly getting forward quickly enough to support  and no midfield helping out under pressure defenders - especially the part time full backs. the central defenders were pulled out of position to cover and were then left exposed themselves. Not the only problems of course but when added to individual errors made because of having nothing up front to get the ball out to. We got what we deserved for not pressing an advantage, just like in 5 or 6 other matches this season. Could and should have cleared 40 points by now but negativity rules.,

Vardy would not get the protection from the ref he got today had he played for the Albion. In fact he would probably have been sent off for diving.

Not one single footballer in the 'premier' today, let alone at the Albion, is fit to lick the boots of the Barlows. Allens, Hopes, Kayes Clarkes, Cantellos, Cunninghams, Browns and Astles (and yes I have seen them all) that have graced this hallowed ground. Nor is there a manager. head coach or even head case with the ability to plan motivate and manage the sorts of skilful attack minded teams those individuals played in. Numbers. percentages and bottom line is what it is now, just like the rugby or rounders by numbers of American football and baseball and just about as corrupt and fixed in favour of the ones that can pay the most to the arbiters and organisers making up the league. Yes you bunch of London and Manchester based Rsoles pretending to love the game I am talking about you and your media lackeys. Sod it all going to get inebriated again now. just to help overcome these brief and passing moments of lucidity.  Ffs COYB

We are short of pace so the fastest player on the books can't get on the bench. We get pulled apart by any team with players who want it and can get round our makeshift full backs when there  are 2 international FBs who cant get on the bench. We insisted on bringing on  a strong (when fit) but immobile lump up front on his own and change a system that was at least creating a few opportunities for a shot at goal. OK the bunch on the park are not fit to wear the shirt be it white red or pinstriped but there are surely some at the club with a modicum of talent who want to play  so why dont they get a chance They could really be no worse than the disinterested overpaid bunch on display at the moment

Wrong wrong wrong. from team selection and tactics right through to the on the pitch farce from players who should know better. And just to rub salt in it The basdts from brum have jammed it against the spurs. Kin ell there aint enough drink in the world to quell my disgust at this weekend. I thought pulis might be some sort of answer but on  the evidence so far he can f off back to where he came from and take this lot with im. Th cheating Knut of a ref as well who gave every slight touch to leics. and no protection from shoves of Huth and the late tackles and kickings from the bearded twatt at the back and Vardy at the front. Not an excuse though we are set up devoid of real attacking intent and as soon as we get a goal we stop trying to get any more. THIS IS NOT ALBION.

Poor Poor Poor from Pulis and co today. Poor team selection to pick Morrison and Gardner who are both a bit dim when it comes to picking a forward pass, v slow with the ball, have little idea about making a run to recieve it and no idea at all about how to win it you give the initiative to the opponents which has happened too many times under all of the last 3 managers. Jacob has to be selected when available to give others a chance to play. The full back issue has been disguised by the willingness and efforts of both Dawson and Brunt, but so obvious when Brunt today was putting in superb crosses how much more effective with a FB to help out and get in front of him a few times. If the ones at the club are no good,  Ok Pulis so you don't fancy Poco (who in the prem I believe has never let us down) but he is a far better FB than Baird, Lescot or Olson and has complemented Brunt in other matches. The midfield lack of creativity means that strikers are only getting  chances to snatch at shots  - sometimes it comes off and often it don't. When it don't it wrecks confidence. Yes both strikers missed reasonable chances today but at least they got to the position to have a go. Central defenders are slow and look even more lethargic when not covered by midfielders who can get up and down the pitch and tackle a bit. Said it all before, but put your best players in their most effective positions. It aint that hard to see that playing square pegs in round holes limits good players and makes bad ones worse. Pace,  strength creativity, and guile all missing from the middle of the park. I keep hearing Morrison was one of our best today - No way  Brunt was the best  - Morrison was today and often is too slow thinking has no instinct for a pass and loses the ball too often by getting caught in possession

if half of them aren't good enough why not give some of the others a go Baird generally rubbish, Morrison generally slow witted, gardner just slow average at all aspects, Sess not taking anybody on.   So why not give some of the younger guys a go ? and the pace of somebody like gamboa might just help put some real fear into them Always feared this though  they have been rubbish but every hopeful attempt has come off for them. How many times would Samora have put that away. COYB early goal and we can get 4more but give it a bloody go FFS

Morrison back to Normal poor slow thinking self  -  Gardner average/poor as usual its like playing with 9  and not one with pace.  no pace no width no danger

Please m'luds. Could some one please explain to me why a person with responsibility for interpreting the laws of the game should be believed when he found it impossible to discern the difference between two white males in similar garb but each with a different name and number emblazoned across his back but in his OPINION a) a foul was actually committed, and that the victim of this foul had at that precise moment full control of the ball and was not feigning or falling to disguise the fact that he had not got the ball under full control. b) the aforementioned so called foul was of such intent that it prevented a goal scoring opportunity.

In addition The perpertrator of this so called offence was not cautioned at the time and therefore must in the referees opinion have been deemed to be not guilty of the offence. The player sent off was also clearly not guilty of any offence so why is a player who at the time was not deemed guilty being punished by a ban. The referee clearly saw the so called offence and made his decision not to caution Dawson, why then should there be any challenge to this non decision.

I must of course declare a vested interest in that I support WBA but I would also contend that had the circumstances been reversed the Manc layer would certainly not have been sent off and it would have been unlikely to be deemed a foul by the same apparently visually impaired referee.

we have already been taken apart. ten against twelve is a no win situation. We could try giving the ref something to blow for and even the number up maybe.

Sorry just so bloody frustrated at the selection and the circumstances - Mostly our own fault but really hate to see the moneybags teams get away with pushing and shoving then get free kicks for just being touched. Perhaps take Beharino off now only getting knocked about no protection from ref for WBA players but plenty for moneybags

Stuff the stats stuff the systems. We have players that have made mistakes so what - it happens nobody is perfect. However when one team has a player (albeit the wrong one) sent off for the first dubious tackle - i hesitate to call it a foul after what has been allowed since in a game where the home team is allowed to push and shove and the other not to be within half a metre of a player who falls over himself or the ball before a free kick is given. When a goal is allowed after a dangerously high kick from the player concerned, and from memory. not one free kick is awarded to the away team in 47 mins of play, then I submit that there may well be a suspicion of two slightly different sets of rules being applied. One set definitely appearing to benefit a 'superteam' struggling to live up to expectations.

Absolutely gutted by the manner of the defeat and the team selection yet again. Just a couple of facts that perhaps might be mentioned yet again. Lescott is not a full back nor is Brunt nor is Dawson. Pocognoli is and Gamboa might be if given the chance. Both can add extra support out wide, can cross and have pace enough to get up and down the pitch. Please do not suggest that 2 managers can't be wrong  - yes they bl***dy well can and are. Play the  guys concerned -  give em a bit of game time and then tell me they are less effective at what they do than the likes of Morrison Gardner and lately Mulumbu and Brunt.

Gardner and Morrison together are far too lightweight and do not have the ability to hold or pass the ball or it would seem on the last two performances to track back properly at Prem level. Sessegnon and maybe a fit (if ever) Macmanaman might have. Strikers all miss goals sometimes so don't get on Bobby's back again, Saido had 3 shots he would normally have scored from as well.

I am a fan of the man but cannot understand why TP says he is trying to put a methodology in that suits the players he has when we have seen nothing of the round pegs in round holes this tean is crying out for. Not blaming
the ref entirely for the defeat but why only start booking vila ballerinas for diving after 90 mins when they have been doing it all match especially when jacob takes the ball off them. This was a successful concerted attempt by a team to get a fellow professional sent off. the red card should be contested. Albion players need to learn how to go over for free kick and penalty awards - not advocating diving but standing up and trying to play brings no benefits. Saido should have gone over under the challenge from the goallkeeper and the simultaneous touch (push in the back) from the defender. If professional performances are required then this is the profession today.

Been watching Albion since 54 and have never felt so angry as at the last two performances against a rubbish bunch I have never considered worthy of being a local rival. We had a golden opportunity to put these cocky Bstds where they belong and instead have thrown them a lifeline. Only hope we can stay up and that they take up their rightful place a division below us. That and only that will ease the hurt.

Oh and do not try to tell me vile deserve that they deserve only one thing RELEGATION and then RELEGATION again COYB

AV just another lump of insignificant big city rubbish. Wolves before city status were a top club in their time, despite one brief moment in europe with a jammy goal from Withe Villa have never amounted to much and will continue to amount to less and less - a club on the way out now clutching at arrogant cockney straws. Even the owner doesn't like em much and cant wait to get rid.

Stick by him.
Yes he had a poor game, made a couple of errors against the vile and probably cost us the match but others might have also done a lot better than they did that night. I include Pulis and the ref in this as well as those playing for West Brom. Wrong sub decision at the wrong time, and that thug hutton should have been sent off immediately for the assault on Saido. (might even be a case for the lawyers herefor a deliberate attempt to cause serious injury ABH?). and therefore would not have been in a position to colect the clearance.

Ben Foster is a top goalkeeper Who has not in all honesty had a lot to do in many matches since TP took over. Maybe needs more practice or at least a better pair of gloves.

Form is temporary class is constant. Don't worry about saturday  - class will tell (unless they pay off the officials again)

There were ten albionplayers on the dung heap who could not find a team mate with a pass for most of the game. Fletcher an exception and Jacob seemed to give it to another albion man fairly often who would then give it back to the *****. there was very poor movement from players like morrison and gardner to find any space  and he front two looked as unfit as they were supposed to be, the pain killers were not working enough to prevent them pulling out of tackles. It's also very noble to try to stay on your feet when fouled but against this bunch of dirty bstds they should have gone over when touched and rolled about a bit like the claret and blue twats did. however you cannot hide the fact that this was a truly terrible performance and has utterly ruined the rest of the week until we put it right on sat.

maybe other teams will kick sht out of the vile and still send them to where this team and their chicken faced arrogant poxy cockney manager belong

none of them could pass water. Foster most obvious idiot tried hard to give them two pens though the ref only gave one. Ref was also very poor  nothing for the late stuff off the ball by the likes of hutton and agbomthebastd to stop any likely break out and why the f did he book Beharino for huttons assault. Yes p poor performance from pulis down to the effin coach driver but losing to this bunch of ***** really hurts and i have actually completely run out of foul obscenities the screen has just turned blue

Irvine - Pulis. Lucky not to have JL sent off for what may or may not have been a foul - (watched it on telly and re run it several times I cannot see JL touch the diving git, but am a bit biased). Cattermole Brown and others so late with tackles the ref had already run away no punishment deemed necesary. a goal disallowed which may or may not have been offside, Dive-fo certainly was and was only a yard or so away from Foster. The only bit that matters is one more point nearer safety. Might have been 2 might have been 0 but it was what it was one more point and that will do for me.

Jacob has hardly commited a true foul yet. dive-fo tried bouncing off him in the box a couple of times but should have been booked for simulation. and Sunderland in the particularly brown and cattermole have tried to kick lumps out of Beharino and Ideye on and off the ball without punishment.  Where the hell are these commentators from the gus poyet  apprecitiation society?

good so far but still have 12 to beat should have had 2 pens. Jacob not a foul no contact with the player at all surely you cant be sent of for using 2 feet to control the ball

One of the problems about the rubbish we have been playing particularly at RB is the fact that the CB has to do twice as much in order to cover for a player who is  out of position and does not know what being a RB is about. It has been worse on GMac's side due to Norman and Dawson being generally less effective than Baird (I accept that he is a back albeit a slow one) and Brunt who seems to be developing into a LB of sorts but is nowhere near yet.

This is the main reason that what was developing into a decent central defensive unit is now getting in taking position
a little later than they should and having to resort to hoofing the ball away rather than passing out to the wing where a proper full back should be ready and able to set an attack going with a pass to a forward looking midfielder.

The same applies to (Y)Jacob who has to try to cover for errors across the back 4because the RB and Lb are not doing their jobs as they should be which is not so surprising seeing as they are not RB's or LB's. The answer is fairly apparent thane ain' t  it Tony? PLAY yeah PROPER EFFIN FULL BACKS IN THEIR PROPER POSITIONS AND SEE THE IMPROVEMENT IN DEFENCE AND ATTACK. I do not give a flying one about your opinion regarding non British players of the 2 backs I am talking about one has not had a real chance but has not let the team down and has sjhown promise and the other is on eveidence of PL matches generally beter rthan anything else you have tried so far.  rant now over

Lucky point. Worst first half i've seen from an Albion side in ages and I have been going since 1954.  changes forced not considered. pleased for Bobby  - there is a striker in there given the right support.

Still think we have a defence that can keep clean sheets and support the attack and it has to be
Baird or Gamboa, GMac Lescott and Poco. All round pegs in round holes after that there is talent in mid and attack  - none brilliant but most are adequate. Just pick the right team from the ones at the club and stop efffing about with old fashioned stupid systems that have been proven failures at this club.
