The Albion News twitter page reads to me as if Dave was looking forward to doing this season's programme.

I think we used Yellow shorts once before, the John Harston season? But yes, agree, yellow shorts is a bit weird, this one is not a patch on last season

It was green shorts in 06/07. Always had green shorts (apart from the pale blue shorts when the yellow & green strip was first introduced).

Pre-Season Friendlies / Re: 26th July 2019 - AFC Bournemouth (H)

Older fans may remember playing them at home in a pre season friendly in August 73. We were newly relegated, so not too dissimilar to now. Lost 0-1 before a crowd of 4,304.

Suppose Bristol city was always going to be on sky, if it wasn’t the match choice it would have been on the red button.

I wonder if the two games over Easter, the Friday and Monday will be on the red button if there not picked

Well they haven't been picked (one consolation for not being in automatic places), but don't know about the Red Button.

I don't know what depresses me more. The sacking of Darren Moore or the reaction of those Albion fans welcoming it.

Awful decision. The club could at least given him the chance to see if we'd go up via the play offs. We deserve all the national abuse we'll get for this.

There was a block left to go on sale.

Block C15 had just been put on sale when I looked at 10 o'clock on Monday morning, with only a few seats taken and the rest available. However when I next looked a couple of hours later it was no longer possible to book online, so something must have happened in that time which caused the club to withdraw online sales.

Will this be on the sky red button service ? Seeing as it’s a midweek game. I noticed the blues game was on last night which was a rearranged game from the weekend

But Bolton v Reading which was on the same night wasn't on the red button, so not sure if we'll be on or not.

According to the link below the reduction to 2,100 was agreed at the beginning of the season at a meeting of the local clubs. But we gave Villa 2,622 in December, so not sure why they couldn't reciprocate.

The minutes of the meeting say that Villa will offer us the same number of tickets as we gave them. So looks like they have broken this agreement.

Well that was a long break from Sky coverage, back again on the Red Button

It's first showing was at Peterborough in the Texaco Cup on 10 August 1974. Albion News reported it thus.

The new look away strip had its initial outing at Peterborough and looked quite smart. The colours of canary yellow and green have been retained but the format altered. We now have the pattern as per the usual 'Blue and White' only in yellow and green. If you want to see the effect comes to Notts County

sorry, must have missed this, why are we 12:30?

Because of an overseas TV deal that runs for the next 6 seasons. 14 ties moved for the 3rd round.

Looks like football has sold its soul again and we'll have to get used to weird FA Cup kick off times for 'overseas television broadcasts' for the next 6 seasons.

Get the worst out of the way first:

3) League Cup R4, (H) L 1-2: One of the worst refereeing performances I've ever witnessed. Think we ended up with 9 men. Robbed.
