442 not working we are all over the place. Semi was having a mare first 15 mins has finally settled. Johnstone trying his best to give goals away.

Its calling out for diangana. As stands we dont look like getting much today. It's been pretty feisty so far I am expecti g a red card today for one of the sides perhaps both
Pratley for them winding us up and getting in the faces of Sawyers and others. Ref being weak. As a tactic for the Addicks it’s working. Need to find a way to rise above this, despite the ref

Brentford 2 nil up...we can't afford any slips ups..
First was off a free kick that shouldn’t have been given as there was a clear foul on the QPR defender prior.
Second was sublime, although keeper and defender made life easy to create the chance.
Bees are form team at present, no doubt

The team line ups overall together with the 20 changes made mean any argument to change swathes of our first 11 really doesn’t fly. Great win and some good performances but realistically against poor opposition.

Woodwork busy second half and that’s also the first time I’ve ever seen a ball back spin on the line ( after the Brunt/Austin chance)

Not going to be a popular opinion but the team tried their best to show up yesterday, the majority of the fans didnt. I was the only one singing in my section of the Brummie for large sections of the game. Leeds were shaken for the first 10 minutes because of the electric atmosphere and the goal and then it all went flat and moaning ensued. The issue with our team form currently isnt tactical or personnel related imo, its almost entirely confidence.

Can see your opinion and to some extent I agree, however the previous 2 games of Barnsley and Boro gaining us a mere point meant that as soon as Leeds grew into the game, the crowd became understandably nervous.

If Phillips buries that one on one then the party atmosphere would have returned.

Boing Boing Baggies in Oz! Merry Christmas to each and every Albion fan all over the world. Special thanks to all the mods and contributors on this board, it means so much to us exiled Baggies to keep that contact and lifeline going with the club and its fans.

Happy Christmas ya bunch of Sheilas!  :-*

Anyone else think that some of the refereeing decisions were questionable? There was certainly a period in the second half where I thought he’d lost the plot ( coinciding with Livermore having a meltdown at the ref when on a yellow)

Stoke game moved from 18th to Monday 20th Jan 8pm kick off.
My lad is travelling from Australia around Europe and the UK around this time and has already booked a hotel in Brum, planning to attend this one and meet up with family before and after the game. Now it’s f&**ed. Thanks Sky 😡

Residing in Australia's probably the reason you don't know that Andy Gulch handed the drumsticks over some time ago  ;) .
Ahh. Oh well. Distance and time, got me there.

Maybe hand over the prematch warm up playlist to him.....

Still hearing you lot loud and proud when I get up at some ungodly hour to watch the boys...

I’m residing in Australia and even I know that the drummer is Andy Gulch, a die hard West Brom fan who resides in the Smethwick and is also a DJ. He’s passionate about getting behind the lads.
If the crowd needs whipping up on a cold midweek fixture then so be it, I’m all for it.

You don’t like it? Get singing.make a fortress and drown him out.

I’d love to be there joining in BTW. Life choices.

Thanks again for your comments guys, gives me great encouragement that others have gone through the process and have been fine.

My only worry is the change of diet.  I am a big lad 6ft 4 and 140kg, so I love my food but I gather all the good stuff I love will be off the menu!

I guess on the bright side, it might be good timing and a good opportunity to shed some kilos.

Hey fellow Aussie! ( although I’m officially adopted, got both passports)

Seems like your health is getting sorted and you’re pondering a bucket list Shrine pilgrimage .......can’t recommend enough having done this last year at Christmas. Had a great time although I don’t remember much about the Wigan Boxing Day win 🤪

Let me know if you ever think of planning a visit and we could even align our travel plans - which state are you residing in?

My brother was at that meet up in Kings Park, he now lives over Bribie Island.
James is a top lad . Met him only once and felt like I’ve known him all my life.

Not sure what’s gone on at Elland Road with Blues fans at full time yesterday. I’ve watched some Leeds guys You Tube highlights of the game and there seems to be no aggro until right at the end. Stewards and police heavy handedness? Or Blues’s darker element travelling for trouble? Either way, 11 arrests and allegedly a female steward knocked out isn’t good. With the racism debate ongoing and also a fellow Baggie passing in mysterious circumstances in Bulgaria, it’s not been a great week off the pitch.

We have a little stronghold down here on the south west coast, I play in a vets football team with another baggie and there are a few other baggies dotted around town, I was at woolies the other day with my baggies top and got a very loud boing boing and thumbs up from a passing car. What I will say is the people I’ve met here that do know us always say good things.
Which town do you live in, Swad? Is that South West WA? There’s a few Perth Baggies still kicking around these parts, about 30 or so from the last meet up we had in Kings Park...

When these lads skills take us to the edge of heaven it would be nice if the club had the freedom to retain their services or even better the players coming out and saying I'm your man.

Hope he turns a different corner and recovers from his knock. Praying for time over the international break so he will be back soon.

He pulled off a great double save (the parried shot and the following tip over the bar) as well as tipping their shot onto the bar ( which the officials missed was a corner).
Any of those 3 go in and we lose & he gets mullered.

I think he’s doing ok, not perfect yes, room for improvement, yes, deserves to get dropped, no.

Oh contraire.

Not only have I seen the South Bank but I've been on it.

And not just when it went Boing Boing either  ;) .
That FA Cup 3-0 when we took over the joint is probably up there in my Top 3 Albion games I’ve attended. The chants that day were epic......
