With a proper manager and system, with some actual organisation at last, I feel he would excel for us.

Imagine his range of passing in there next to Sawyers with our pacey wingers making runs.
Great news - be great for the younger players to have around - he will also be a perfect squad player, play in the games that suit him.

Pleased with this

Pretty sure this will be the team.

Really hope that we bring in a CB (So Ajayi moves to CDM in place of Livermore), a LW and 2x strikers. Would be happy moving into the season with that for sure.

Ferguson in. Is brunt injured?

That's the big problem. Who else can we bring in who will guarantee us goals. There is not many strikers around who you can say that about.

Strikers like Che Adams at Blues have done it for one season. In this league Gayle has done it for us last season, Newcastle  and Crystal palace in previous seasons.

If we had him we would guarantee those goals for us and deprive any other championship club of the 20+ goals.

we could buy a right donkey who promises us 20 goals but will probably end up with only 5  !!!

I'm sure many names come to mind in the past for Albion fans when anyone mentions that last statement.

Yes like letting Phillips go and signing Bart who didn’t even play

Not sure what to think of appointing Billic - is he the man for a rebuild job in the Championship?

Hope it works out.

Good pal of mine a Hammers STC - in his words:-

Attacking wise very strong
Defensively all over the gaff

I have a feeling the club will announce someone totally out of the blue - not Bilic or anyone they have spoken to or we have heard rumors about.

Is it Weds or Thursday we will be interviewing Irvine again?
Ince and Irvine pencilled in next week, after Hughes and Hughton

I would guess the Dingles and Vile are. I saw the writing was on the wall when we didn't appoint Dean Smith last summer and Vile did.
I said to my mate, we will miss out on auto, Vile will make the play offs and beat us and go up. I wish i wasn't right all the time.
Now two managers we could and should have gone for, Smith and Potter are in the Prem. You watch Neil and Johnson finish above us next season.
You won't see Darren Moore making headlines anytime soon. Learning the game my arse.
But Jenkins wanted Smith by all accounts - it was lai who wanted and selected DM

Someone mentioned earlier about a scatter gun approach.

Seems to me the only thing we know is what we will give as wages. Given the range of names we are linked with, the style of football does not appear to be a big priority.

We 'appear' to be lurching from target to target, with wages being a major factor, as shown by Jokanovic apparently.

The longer this goes on, the longer it looks like Appleton...
Of course it will be Appleton. This is a circus ran by the clowns currently on our board.
The Wilder thing is.a complete joke and makes a farce of whatever has been going on since March.
Appleton will be appointed end of June.
No ambition.
Jenkins is back

          Dawson Bartley Hegazi
Holgate                               Gibbs
            Livermore Brunt
                Gayle Jrod

Try and kill the game and bring it back to the hawthorns

Bartley should be now where near  vile park

If he plays I fear it’ll be out of reach for the second leg - he is awful

Only Albion could be 4th in the league with a chance of promotion and a few good players and get turned down by a manager with no budget at a mid table club :) Love it.
But we didn’t offer him the job did we?

Tosin Adarabioyo replaces Ahmed Hegazi because of an injury.

Need a win big time today. Time for the players to stand up and be counted!.
Bartley playing so there won’t be a clean sheet

£5 says the clubs idea of sorting this out will be to give Shan an ‘experienced’ assistant.
That is the cost effective option so that will happen

I despair at that substitution. Unbelievable.

Fear the worst here, Adarabiayo and Calamity Kyle as the centre back pairing  :o
If these two start I worry - just do not rate either player, Bartley is as bad as I have seen and Ive seen a few bad ones!
They will fly out of the blocks and I really do think we will have another Leeds roasting on our hands.
It is quote possible we could lose momentum and slip away badly

But, I also have know us for long enough to know we could quite easily win 1 or 2-0 and get us all up again.

I have no idea ::)

Dawson injured?
WM pundit claiming it's a 4-1-4-1 formation?
With the calamitous clown partnering Hegazi a clean sheet is not happening.

I wonder if this manager shennanigans has had any effect on the earlybird season ticket sales.
I haven't renewed mine yet, but then again I always make them wait until the last possible minute for the money.
Hope so.
Not renewing mine early. If they put the price up I simply won’t renew same if I lose my seat.
Halesowen Town for me next season, Jenkins you can do one

We have no idea yet whether Shan has the tactical knowledge/experience to be able to cope in a difficult situation, so far he hasn't needed to come from behind or play with 10 men. When we go 1-0 down in the play-off final and go down to 10 men I would rather have a manager who will have experienced it before and will know what to do.
Albeit the growing minority, I can’t get my head around th ‘don’t change it because we are winning thoughts.
What happens when/if:-
Millwall 0 WBA 0
Bristol C 4 WBA 0
WBA 1 Preston 2
WBA 1 Hull 1
3 PTS from 15, out of form and clinging to 6th place for a play off semi final vs a better team - season up in smoke and heading downhill.

My biggest worry is the past managerial decisions, (except Hodgson and Pulis*), have been cheap skate and small time.
*Pulis was a perfect choice for the position we were in and I am sure Peace would have fired him before last season even started.

Sleepwalking back to no mans land fast - such a wasted opportunity IMO

Eddie Winkett was it ? Remember him well
Yes affectionaly known at Oldbury Utd by the players as Worzel.
My old man was the manager of Oldbury  mid 80s and Eddie was involved - villa fans used to wind him up really bad - so passionate about the Albion - used to take me up to watch - always manages to blag tickets off Tony Morley and George Riley!
Too man is Eddie

As you say, currently the dinosaur's lot are in the frame, but given form lines that will probably change.
I still see Bristol having a good play-off chance.
Lots of twists yet - since when has the championship been easy to predict.

Three wins in a row and things look good - so often though it swings and two defeats change things.
Villa and Preston are on a great run - Bristol boro and derby have been poor, things may swing. Blues were looking ok before losing four on the bounce.

Even if we win the next two and close the gap, Leeds could then go on a winning run and end our chances.

A scenario I wouldn’t want is we run close to automatic and lose out at derby on the last day, go into the play offs on a downer and lose in them, to either Pulis or vile

Football !?!

Danny Cowley at Lincoln for me.

Haven't seen him even mentioned in the betting, however.
Good shout - I’d be happy with something like that

We are really a fk about of a club aren't we?
I'm surprised anyone's interested at all.
If the hierarchy know who they want just do the deed and get him
? I dont think so.
For all we know Jokanovic's contract could be being drawn up.
Jenkins wont pay compensation, true, but I expect a swift appointment as I do believe Sheff U and Leeds games showed what many have suspected and gave us an answer as to how the play offs (unless we slipped out) would have gone. The board knew then that Darren Moore was out of his depth.
Fickle game this

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: 2019-2020 Season Tickets
« on: March 05, 2019, 08:06:06 AM »

Prices frozen if renewed by end of April.  ;D

Albion today launch an Early Bird offer which gives fans the chance to book season-tickets for the 2019/20 campaign at this season’s prices.

Our prices for the current Sky Bet Championship campaign have been welcomed by Baggies fans and acclaimed by supporters throughout the league - and here’s your chance to book next season’s seat at the same price.

Existing and new season-ticket holders can guarantee themselves the cheapest price to watch Albion at The Hawthorns by booking their seat by the Early Bird deadline of 5pm on Tuesday, April 30.

After the deadline all unsold seats, including those not renewed, will be released for general sale in the summer window at a higher price, regardless of division.

If you’re an Extra Early Bird and buy before Saturday, March 30 you’ll be automatically entered into a draw to win back the cost of your season ticket!

You can renew by visiting the Ticket Office, calling 0121 227 2227 or online here.

Payment options
•In full with cash (Ticket Office only) or credit/debit card
•Spread the cost over 9 months interest free with Albion Mastercard
•Spread the cost via Direct Debit

In addition anyone buying a 19/20 season-ticket during the Early Bird window will automatically receive 1,000 of next season’s loyalty points for additional priority for all remaining 18/19 matches. Renewing season-ticket holders will receive a further 500 loyalty points ahead of the 19/20 season.

Prices start from £329 for adults and remain just £49 for Under-11s.

Please note there have been changes to concession price eligibility criteria.
•All Under-11 season-tickets must be purchased with an Under-23, adult or senior season-ticket
•The senior price category is now for fans aged 65+. All existing senior season-ticket holders will qualify for the senior price regardless of their age when purchasing in the Early Bird window
•Students must now present a letter from their educational institution confirming their full time student status to qualify for the concession price

Wow Albion - looks like you are pushing me to renew the seat I have had for 19 years by the fellow baggies I have got to know really well through good times and bad - it’s been great but I’ll probably be better off to choose my games next season, premier league ain’t all that anyway if we were somehow to go up.
