I think he was persuaded too by Hammond. who could see the way the fans were reacting/ plans were not working.
Now he is going for wholesale change having been let down by old fashioned thinking and so called experts at the Club. Good luck to all of us.

Kluivert would be a very interesting out of the box appointment.
Just  we need  a wholesale culture change at the top . Well done Mr Lai.

Like all failures, use the lessons learned to rebuild and regroup. We will then do our best to get back into the top flight. Because whether  we like it or not, that's what it is and that's where we should be.

I think this is indicates the change of direction we have been screaming for is now , hopefully, on the way. Whatever we do, we could not carry on as we have been, and a new approach is welcome.

I think its an accurate call that the next owners could be Indian....but who? Tata are on the back foot now and not the most popular Indian enterprise at the moment.

After seeing what Lerner has done, hope the Yanks aren't interested in us.

After the Watford result I reckon we will end up on 43 maximum.

This bemoaning of the Premier League is utter rubbish to be honest - do you think Swansea fans, Palace fans, Southampton fans are against this league? The only driver for this Premier League hate is the fact that we are absolutely toilet at the moment. Didn't hear any moans about this league when we finished 8th.

The real problem is within this football club - a culture of losing, a culture of complacency and a culture of accepting mediocrity because "it used to be worse in the 90's".

We DO have the potential to do better. Clubs like Swansea have shown that you don't need to break the bank to not only survive in this league but do it comfortably and entertain supporters.

With the right manager who takes cup competitions seriously and believes in playing attractive football, with the right culture at the club from top to bottom, we can compete in this league. We won't win the league, but we can break into that top ten again and have a bloody good go at winning a cup.

As with any change however, this needs to happen right at the top and filter down the hierarchy. Over to you, Mr Peace.

Unfortunately, absolutely spot on.

I must admit that I have changed my mind about TP. My initial view, right bloke at the right time was probably correct, but the last couple of games have changed that I'm afraid.

It really looks like we are in for a turgid, soul destroying  fight to the death again. although its early days. But when you see other, similar type clubs doing well, it really begs the question, why not us?

It all feels so depressingly familiar and I wonder how long the situation will last this time. Hopefully there are three teams worse than us again, but if the cost of survival is utter dross and winning 0-0 every week I'm not so sure our fan base will put up with it in the long term. I sincerely hope this is not the year that TPs record of never being relegated is finally put to rest, but my gut feeling is it could be.

As was Fletcher one of the best buys of the Premiership last season in terms of impact, I believe that Lambert will prove a great investment this season. McClean, ( forgetting the nonsense) looks hot.

We are in a completely different place then we were last season, a totally different structure and a totally different outlook. For me we are looking like a solid team that others will be very wary of and pull off some shock results. I think we could finish in the top half with some fair wind.

Very happy that we have a leader in charge now who is admired and respected in the game, the right man at the right time for us. It will be a great season for us........

Get the video ready for this year.....

Predictable.............and so,so,so,so,so,so pathetic.

Im sorry, im absolutely devastated by the news of the non takeover. At least we had some sort of excuse for doing nowt.

Seems like more of the same for the next season, no ones coming, if they do hey are rubbish/old/injured/ dead/ politically bankrupt...can hardly wait.

Born in Sutton Coldfield, lived between Aldridge and Sutton, Dad a Vile fanatic, Mom ( maiden-name Halford) staunch Albion fan. Dad would take me to see the garbage until  one day the Albion ran out on to the pitch and I was converted.
Use to go to all our home games on my bike and go to Vile Park from Blake Street Station to support whoever the opposition was if I couldn't get a ticket to watch us away.
Happy days...

The fact our away strip is red and black (with white sponsor logo) is about as black country as it gets to be honest and a flag emblazoned in the back  collar would be great. But that's it.....over sell and confusion reigns. People in Shanghai will not understand the concept of 'Black Country' at all TBH

That what i was referring to, the next generation of shed manufacturing prowess.

Who knows he may just be annonced in time for him to sit next to pulis in the dugout at the citeh game.

Or indeed lead the standing ovation for Delph when he trots out in Citeh colours....

Lets hope our does not fizzle out like our chums has down the road....I think ( hope) it will all end in tears for Tiny Tim and the t***pots.

With TPs hands firmly on the reins, as confirmed by some of his most recent statements I am not as worried as I was.

I think that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes, especially with us being in the middle of an ownership change and this must be having some effect, whatever the official statements.

I think that we are in a much better shape then we were this time last season and things will unfold, slowly, as they always do. Even with this squad I believe we are as safe as last year with TP in charge and any marquee signings, if and when they come will lift us comfortably into the top half of the table....

( Did I really say that??!!)

Think its a cracking looking kit to be great in  navy and white as an away strip for us.

I don't think there is any chance of TP going anywhere.

We are getting a little jittery as the close season is short, the pre-season tour is about to start without any real new additions and TP did say he wanted to get things done as early as possible. So there is room for some disquiet.

Similar sized clubs " appear" to be doing some business and we look like we are sitting on our hands waiting for the prices to come could all change very quickly. After last years total debacle  and the money wasted I guess JP is a little entitled to hold fire on new additions.

But I think JP and TP are as solid as it gets and for the moment the club could not be in better hands TBH.

We are West Bromwich Albion, we play in Navy and White stripes and we play at the Hawthorns. Those facts are non negotiable as far as I am concerned. Changing any of those to gain success would be a betrayal of everything we stand for and be akin to doing a deal with the devil.
I would rather we keep our identity and fail then change our identity and " succeed". But we are only fearing the worst, keep the colours, keep the name keep the Ground and take the money.....they are not mutually exclusive.
