Pereira's free kick v Bristol would have been all over the media if it was Messi. Takes guts as well as skill to even attempt that from the edge of the box.

I'll cherish that day at Oldham til the day I die.

Well I can tell you of one lifelong Baggie who's fallen victim to Covid cousin died in Russells Hall Hospital yesterday...61, same age as me. RIP Chris.

So, we’re confined to our living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and conservatories. Some of us are now for the first time in years having conversations with our partners. Some may still be participating in a long term silence with their partners.

The pubs are shutting and the football is off. The social gatherings are brought to a close but the memories of good and bad games/players are with us forever.

Therefore, grab yourself a can of imported lager, ale or bottle of wine. For the tea drinkers amongst us, make yourself a mug of the finest Yorkshire tea.

It’s time to reminisce

It’s nice to start with some positivity.

Share your memories. Were you there? Where was you stood?

How bad was the hangover?

Is there anything from the day that stands out?

Let’s get reminiscing and more cheerier subjects. This is a corona virus free topic  ;D

A great day indeed.....however, for me, it was that first half hour against Swansea in the semi (2nd leg) that will live with me forever. The atmosphere at the shrine that night has never been bettered.

The world has officially gone mad..... right now dozens of planes are arriving in the UK from Italy and nobody is being checked. About 17 left Milan for London yesterday and everyone just walked straight through....and quite likely straight on to the tubes and taxis into the west end. 5 million use the undergound every working day. This virus has a two week incubation period.

I give up.

Paul Wiliams, Stewart Evans, Stewart Phillips, Sherjill McDonald without even five seconds thought time.

Ha ha! If any youngsters out there think Austins rubbish, you should have seen Evans (86/87?)....absolutely bloody hilarious!

Thats that then. Expected nothing less with that shocking midfield selection. Could be a rout in the second half.

I can see them doing us for pace tonight, the second string look to be very lacking in that department.
Barry/Brunt in midfield and Ken/Austin up front. Not very dynamic is it if we're hoping to hit them on the break.

I agree. Can't see us getting anything out of this in all honesty. I think I said it before, but I do believe Bruce will see this game as a massive opportunity for him personally; especially with the vociferous backing they'll have tonight. Bloody 1974 all over again.

Really cant see us blowing this now. Bringing in Robinson and Grosicki has given the in-form Pereira so much more space we are now creating a wealth of scoring opportunities...and we may have Diangana back soon(ish).

Goals will come and so will the required points...particularly from Robinson I think. Great buy.

I'm actually OK with that result bearing in mind the luck we had with poor refereeing decisions.

I'm OK with it because of the sheer amount of chances we created to win it....but for great saves from their keeper and greedy decisions by us. My point is that its great to see us creating chances, on another day Robinson could have had a hat trick. Onwards and upwards!

BTW...HRK is still the major weakness for me.

We will show them who is the boss.
3 - 1.

Yep. Really fancy Robinson to get at least one.

Newcastle already sold out the full 4900

Is that all the Smethwick holds nowadays?

When you think back to the black days of Pulis what Slav has done is, for me, nothing short of  miraculous. Would anyone have dared dream of being top of the league and six points clear this time last year? And playing some really exciting stuff?

The bloke has, quite simply, repaired my love for all things Baggies!

Bomber had him MOM on WM. That'll do for me.

A draw keeps us 5 clear of 3rd as Leeds have played but no reason why we cant win if we play anywhere near as well as Sunday.

Absolutely....just hope our best chances don't fall to HRK again!  ??? ;D

The Forest game could be an absolute epic. Cannot wait.

Our lack of a decent striker, even at this level, will ultimately be our downfall this season I fear.

They have all the Smethwick.

According to Google the game is on the 5th (at 19.45), which is a Thursday and less than 48 hours before both teams play in the league.

If they don't want to de-value the cup then stupid match Fates like this shouldn't be allowed.

FA website is saying Wednesday 4 March at!

I'm dreading a repeat of 1974 (I was there). Bruce will view this as a huge chance to really get the NUFC fans behind him and the team....think he'll field a very strong side and their fans will turn up in huge numbers and probably infiltrate home areas.

Diangana is inured.  Edwards isn't quite up to it.  We need someone to help fill the gap and maybe fill Diangana's boots next season.

Plus...Philips is hardly setting the world alight.

First game I saw us lose was home to Newcastle in 5th round in 1974, 0-3. I was aged 7 and was devastated, and cried my eyes out, I didn’t realise that Albion could lose games, how wrong I was! 46000 there I think with about 20000 geordies at the game.

Several running battles outside the Brummie/Woodman Corner in the 30 minutes after that game....I was 14 and petrified!! Never liked Newcastle since.

Well....its a big IF now isn't it?! We can barely compete at this level depending on the likes of Kanu, Zohore and Austin up front and the bang average Livermore giving possession away or slowing everything up.

Massive massive changes needed if we don't want to get totally embarrassed IF we do manage to go up.
