He's great to watch most of the time. Somebody does need to mention the play-acting. Part of his development in Brazil/Portugal or not it'll get him retrospectively banned here and there have been 2 incidents where it was been pretty damn shocking!

These are my take homes from today;

Austin lead the line really well and just lacked a goal - good performance and deserves credit.
Diangana was superb when he came on.
Props to Phillips. An explosive performance from him and 2 goals.
Happy to have Livermore proving me wrong, it was a good performance.
Furlong great going forward.

Johnstone winds me up and i hope we replace him.
Hegazi can't come in for Bartley soon enough.

Welcome!

There seems to be some hype around this man so i'm glad we beat a few other teams to his signature, we are lacking in central defence.

His Instagram post shows a big love and connection to us. Great to read!

What i wouldn't give to see a partnership like his and McAauley's in their pomp. Olsson was somewhat of our talisman in our earlier days and i'll always have fond memories of him, particularly his goal and celebration in the famous Wo1ve5 game.

It seems if he was going to be so quick to leave perhaps the club would've recognised that and opted for somebody else. We'll see though i guess.

I think our team looks poorer without him. He was a good link from Sawyers to the frontman and wingers and his ball retention is good.

West Brom are set to hire David Kerslake as their new head of academy coaching, according to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley

A quick search tells me he's never been in an Academy set up. This could be a bit of a risk!

I would add weak in the middle order.

We're expecting some one-day flat track bullies to make the transition to test cricket, whilst often being thrown in at the deep end because of our inability to open.

I'm not expecting much to change either..

Yes, i'm not a cricket expert but i've spoken a lot to my friend who adores test cricket and he says that this country is basically coming further and further away from test match cricket with 20/20 and i think something along the lines of a 10 over match planned soon? People won't know how to play test match cricket for a day soon let alone 5.

This thread has gone very quiet! It's a shame the way the series has played out but is Smith and Labushagne Australia have had two batsmen who have batted well every single innings whereas we haven't, even Stokes has had some poor ones. We've been weak at the top and weak in tail. We constantly seem to have been swimming against the tide in this series and have never looked in control at any point.

It's been a great series to watch but we need some test-style batsmen and some more resilience in the tail-end (as Overton and Leach recently showed - is possible!).

I'd like to send him out to League 2 or 1 if we could. He may be highly rated but as somebody else said, keepers are under the microscope and there is a pressure here to get promoted. Any mistakes could lay a heavy burden on him. It would be good to see how he does elsewhere.

I hate to say it but i like giving it a listen, Charlie Austin is a guest on his latest one though i don't think it's uploaded just yet. I just find that he's a guy that speaks a lot more truth.

I definitely don't think Brunt is past it, i think he has a part to play from the bench and can still make a positive impact on games. He's not a starter for me though.

I had a dream he dropped 2 clangers in our next game. He's now creeping into my anxieties and affecting my sleep!

I've seen poor performances from him but Sawyers and him seem to be clicking. He still needs to improve a lot for me, however, i'm more than happy for him to be proving me wrong!

Toughest test of the season up next. It'll be hard to keep the unbeaten run going and we need to address some problems in the air to keep Mitrovic quiet.

looks like he's lost a bit of pace to me, ref would have been badly positioned but it looked like Phillips was holding the Blackburn players arm when he raced through to score. about time we had a bit of fortune off the officials.

I watched that twice and i'd say six of one half a dozen of the other.

Quiet here today!

Suprised to see Krov out but not surprised to see the others in. A lot of strength in attacking midfielders so somebody good is always missing out. I'd rather have seen Livermore out though but i'm trying to give the guy a chance.

Going to Alaves on a season long loan with a recall option in Jan, according to Matt Wilson on Twitter

Oh wow! Weird, after what Slav said last week!

Good decision imo depending on wage agreements, really like Matty and I'm pleased that one of our key players has committed his long term future here. It can only bode well for the atmosphere/confidence behind the scenes.

Might be being greedy, but Gibbs or Hegazi next please 🤞

Kyle Edwards and Nathan Ferguson would be good!
