Excellent game plan tonight

I hold my hands up, I ran out of patience towards the end of last season after a long time backing him but this guys had me and all my family eating the humblest of humble pies this season, I didn't think he was up to it.

Let's just hope he wants to stay after all the bile and abuse he was given at home games and online over the last couple of seasons.

Why he persists with Phillips I’ll never know

While I agree it's not a good enough excuse to play him if he's not performing, he did sign a 3-year contract only last season in the championship. At the time he was a key player so it wouldn't surprise me if he's had a big flex up in his pay as a result of promotion in order to persuade him not to leave. If he's on something silly like 40k a week you'd probably try and find a place for him somewhere even just for the sake of sparking interest for a sale in Jan or beyond, especially given our tight transfer situation.

I disagree, In my opinion Livermore, Bartley, Furlong, O’Shea, Townsend are not premier league level.

I’d even question Sawyers, Ajayi and possibly Robinson despite playing well yesterday.

I'd disagree with literally all the the above with the exception of Sawyers and Townsend. We have a decent outfield team that can stay up, we've just had a poor start and have a mid table championship (at best) keeper between the sticks

Bilic isn't the problem here, he's trying to get blood out of a stone. We've got few players of PL quality, we NEED a real striker and we NEED one now, not to mention a keeper (Button needs a chance). Ivanovic will hopefully help sure up our defence so im not so worried about that just yet.

Bilic got us promoted first try and he hasn't been backed fully, he doesnt have a realistically capable squad. He's not the problem here, he needs time and backing

I really don't get why this guy owns the club. He puts no money in, he gets no money out (apparently). Like I legitimately don't understand his motivation for owning us (and continuing to do so)

What a screamer, we do like a good free kick at Goodison dont we.

If we manage to hold onto a point or more I'll happily eat humble pie 🥧

I love it  :D

Agree, think its really eye catching and makes us look unique within the division, especially with our young squad.

Those players good enough for the Premier League
O'shea (Think he's the right mold for a PL fullback and will grow into the league)
Sawyers (early season form)

Those who could 'do a job' or play bit part roles

Those not good enough and should be offloaded

Sorry, but he just can't be relied upon on the big occasions.

I've backed him to the hills and back but my patience ran out last night. Neither goal was his fault as such but thats half the problem, he seldom bails out the defence whereas great (or even just good) goalies do. 90% of decent shots against him either are too close to going in for my liking or in the net.

Backup keeper at best im afraid

"Start Bond next game"
"Johnstone is awful"
"What's Bond got to do to get a game"

Johnstone haters, next time these thoughts come to mind, think of tonight.

It only takes one nasty challenge by some frustrated player in a team seemingly headed for league 1 for Pereira's career to be ended and millions (or 10s of millions) of pounds to be lost for him. The referee's have let him get knocked around all over the park in some games whilst we get red cards for minor incidents. I don't like it but I fully understand why players who are 'just too good' for the opponents sometimes feel the need to protect themselves by diving.

Need to get him signed up to a long contract if possible now, no coincidence that hes turned the club round. 3 or 4 year contract with a slight flex down for relegation (if he'd agree) would be a fantastic start to the summer window.

I notice Harry Maguire doesn't get a 3 game retrospective ban for kicking a player square in the testicles out of anger. Don't miss a trick when it comes to Albion though, we get our star player banned for a slight contact with the face during a tussle for the ball.

Funny that isn't it FA...
