Hopefully that somehow lapses, easily worth £25-30 million.

Easily.

Benteke, Jimenez, Dack etc all valued much higher. Rondon better than all.

2
But he’s not in this league so it’s purely hypothetical
Rondon has scored 10 goals this season. Last season he scored 10 for us, season before 10, season before 12 so it’s a bit of a myth that he’s doing loads better at Newcastle

He’s not doing “better”, he’s doing exactly the same which is he a nuisance, be the big man, but bangs in his fair share in a defensive side.

I still don’t know why Spurs don’t have him as back up to Kane.

Always liked him, always will. Very good player.

3
Anybody still want him over Rondon?

Only one winner for me I’m afraid.

I can guarantee whoever it is, the same people who hated Dave WILL 100% hate the new guy.

Was going to post this even before I found out about DM.

What is wrong with our fan base? Completely split down the middle and arguing amongst each other constantly, booing the smallest mistakes and hounding our players.

Murphy for example; not very good I agree, but booing the lad even when he claps every corner of the ground?

I am not proud to be a Baggies right now, actually no I am. But I am not proud of some fellow Baggies.

Pull together for Christ sake.

Our club is a shambles.

Hope the boo boys are proud and happy.

Don’t worry though, we’ll have somebody new in soon for you to all boo & blame.

Never been a fan of HRK, however I fail to recall many better headed goals.

Particularly when you discount “bullet” headers.

It proves no such thing. Wait until the end of the season at least to make that sort of call.

4 managers, nearly 2 seasons, 3 different systems. Still nowhere near us.

Cut our losses, move on.

Anybody watching the lad? Granted he’s only been on 10minutes but the 3 involvements he’s had proves why he is nowhere near good enough for us.

I say it again to Sam's critics "Come-on lets be avin you" Abraham scores 1-0 who knows where that takes us?

Here here.

Never fully understood why he has so much hate, could become a top keeper with time. Certainly have shown this week how crucial he is.

Superb again today.

Away from home we are a force.

Wonder if Zippy still hates Big Dave.

owner never invested in first team so we have still got Pulis type players who especially at back our not comfortable on ball and can't pass wind

So by that theory, we should have just kept Pulis.

Albion fans under Pulis “the football is shocking, bored of this lump it long stuff”

Albion fans under Moore “why are we trying to play football, just revert to basics and not try to change a culture, to improve and move us forward”

Our fan base at times baffles me.

What are you disagreeing with?
I said we all make mistakes

You need to stop telling people what they need to do

Sorry Sir.

Lets agree to disagree, we'll see where DM takes us come the end fo the season wont we.

We are over halfway through the season
He has made many mistakes,we all do we are all human but if we continually repeat them that’s silly
352 took too long to change,Bartley coming out took too long,Harper coming in only happened because it was forced upon him...Brunt repeatedly at CM etc etc

I’d like Moore to be a success, but a successful manager
A makes decisions
B doesn’t need(or expect) slack

Disagree.

Any manager with his limited experience is going to make mistakes, the fact that we are the leading scorers, arguably one of the most entertaining teams in the country and now with the 2nd best defence in the league shows he noticed those mistakes and put them right.

We don’t play 352 any more.
Bartley no longer a starter.
Harper needed time, if he had come in during our shambles earlier in the season then he could have crumbled.

You need to forgive and forget a little more, focus on the here and now rather than what happened 6 months ago.

What did you mean by cut him some slack,if that doesn’t imply to be lenient with criticism?

Judging from your posts on this thread, you don’t like the majority of DM’s selections or choices, this as I mentioned above is a little hasty given the circumstances he has been dealt.

Well....
The young players learning their trade will get taken out from time to time, we don't have the luxury of swapping the manager for a few games, he's the no1 every match
I'd also consider there should be no need for "cutting slack" an error is just that, repeating it is bad, repeating it in multiple is negligence.....
I think the majority are very supportive of DM to the point he has been afforded more time and allowed more mistakes
But we have to get away from this "hes one of our own" so cannot be criticised

Where did I say he can’t be criticised? I have criticised a few of his decisions this season, away games at Blackburn & Boro for a starters spring to mind where I have questioned some of his decisions.

But that hasn’t stopped me from seeing the plan,5)3 adventurer he has us on.

Just think of City had our stance and got on Pep’s back after that Leicester defeat, look at what we’d have missed out in as football fans.

He has his flaws, but so do our young crop of players who we would state “are learning their trade” so why don’t we cut DM some slack?

Yesterday’s first half was superb, an excellent display of football. Had the chance in the second half gone in (where Johansen/JRod/Gibbs were all involved in the quick flow of football) we’d have been screaming about that goal for years.

The second half was, despite everybody telling us he had no idea about game management after Weds’ cup defeat, outstanding game management.

With a limited budget, an ageing squad, and overrated squad, on the back of relegation, a club in turmoil, Darren Moore has played a huge part in rebuilding both the team and the club.

The away followings are superb, the football is so much better with improvements still clearly visible. He has helped reignite Albion on so many levels.

And for anyone who thinks he can’t see flaws, we now have the 2nd best defence in the league since switching to a back four (since early November).

He has his flaws, he has areas of improvement, but I for one am enjoying Big Dave’s reign.

Playing devils advocate and posting tongue in cheek here, but I'm sure you've posted elsewhere that family comes first  ;D  ;) .

For the record I don't think it's wrong for you to abandon your partner and child in a foreign land to attend an Albion game  :P .

Have I? I don’t remember typing that.

I’m glad you’re in agreement, are you with me to use your opinion as evidence when she takes me to court next week looking for half of the house?

I have cut short holidays planned by family for play-offs in the past, and will be doing eactly the same this year! I am due to fly back on play-off final date, however if we get there, i will be leaving my partner and daughter in Menorca and flying home a day earlier.

Is that wrong? As thats what she says, and i havent had chance to discuss again with her. we havent spoke for 3 weeks now.

Like I said earlier though and no offence to you but you were moaning the other day about not having the loyalty points for a Villa ticket but the reason people are ahead of you is because they go to games like last night.

First cup game ive missed in 3 years mate...i mentioned on the other thread i had been to all the cup games in recent years.

Wolves had a localish derby against a side they've not played for years before the first game, we played a side we played twice last year who are not a big attraction and brought hardly any fans themselves, its on TV, they changed the date of the game at short notice and weather was awful.

Not surprised people stayed away, have no idea why people are obsessed with attendances.

Agreed.

Midweek cup games are finished as big attractions, unless a small club plays at home to a big boy of the Prem.

Typical of the world we live on (lots of examples going around at the moment).

I wasnt there last night, but if i was, i'd have booed him. Not because he is black, but because he wrongly accused one of our players of racial hatred.

The whole ethos behind this is ridiculous. This time last year we were mourning a club legend, who was black. We were applauded all over the world both during Regis's playing days right up until last year. Our celebration of his life was a fantastic tribute to a trailblazer.

For christ sake our manager is black, our club legends are black, our current rising stars are black, we (like everybody else in this country) embrace all colours and races - the world needs to stop being so PC.

How anybody can play the racism card under these circumstances is beyond me, and they seriously need to give there head a wobble.

It would be a spectacle for about 25 minutes... then the fitness levels of the modern game would assert themselves.

Agreed, unless a couple of the younger generation go off early injured following a cruncher of a tackle which wouldnt be blown for a foul!

In the 50's and 60's they didn't play on a billiard table.
The players had to control the ball better.

You could argue the balls were easier to control than they are now...those kind of debates could go on forever.

In another universe we maybe could pit an "older generation XI" vs "younger generation XI" which would be a fantastic spectacle.
