Guess who scored the last minute winner in a 1-0 win at Molineux in a (reserve) friendly on 8 March 1986.

Just looked at the Rotherham programme. You're right, he was the ref that night.

Clive Thomas was a terrible referee. A martinet who always made it all about him, and as a consequence made baffling and iniquitous decisions. I think every game I ever saw with him had a penalty, a sending-off, or both.

His attitude and approach was appalling. He was absolutely abysmal.

Remember this Clive Thomas game?

Anyway,I was wondering what the average age of the semifinal team was they seemed so young.
We should have battered Ipswich but we froze on the day,I wonder if youth had to do with it and not enough experience, still havnt got over it really,we had one of our greatest sides.

Friend of mine is an Ipswich fan and he said that they were motivated by their semi final defeat of 1975 to West Ham. Nine of their side in 1978 were from that side in 1975. Clive Thomas, who was the ref in our game, was also the ref in 1975 and controversially disallowed two Ipswich goals.

To lose second place three results had to go against us in three rearranged games shoehorned in between what should have been the last Saturday of the league season and the cup final.

We had to lose at Spurs on the Monday, and Forest had to win at Leeds on the Tuesday and at Albion on the Friday.

We lost 1-0 at Spurs, and on the following night Forest won 2-1 at Leeds when Paul Hart scored an unforced own goal in the last minute. I think he lobbed his own keeper or something like that. Meanwhile on the Tuesday we played the Blacks v Whites game for Cantello's testimonial. Laurie played, got injured and wasn't available for the Forest game on the Friday.

On the Friday, Albion had no spark and the inevitable happened in the 81st minute.

It was when Shilton was playing for Leicester in 1973. A very rare Bomber miss.

I'm claiming the game at Dumbarton in 1988 for the Championship of the World.

It is the EFL International Broadcast game, so will be available to overseas baggies and a featured match (with commentator!) on Quest.

They gave some more tickets to Newcastle taking their allocation up to 5050. Still leaves 450 seats as the stand holds 5500. Probably got some segregation at the sides or the first few rows haven’t been sold

Derby got 5,351 in Smethwick End in 2017, so must be more available?

Being reported as sold out https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2020/february/extra-bristol-city-tickets-sold-out/
I suspect what is appearing as the unopened block is an IT glitch

Only the central lower tiers blocks 37, 38 and 39 were released.

https://wbatickets.co.uk/en-gb/categories/away

But the wing lower tier blocks were not released

I would walk to the ground wearing it on display. I have sat in the home end with friends at other grounds with a shirt on to but a coat covering it. Likewise friends have sat in the Hawthorns doing the same. The guy was in the family stand minding his own business. Total overreaction IMO especially as he offered to put his coat back on.

What family stand is that? There isn't a designated family stand at the Hawthorns.
