Albion Matchday Forum / Re: Ejected for wearing away shirt
« on: October 08, 2019, 07:24:06 PM »
The guy is clearly an attention seeker. He stood in front of me in the que to get in.

His shirt was clearly on view and he was carrying a jacket. I told him the only way he would gain access was to put his jacket on and keep it on throughout the game.

I went on to say should you remove the jacket you will be ejected. No surprise to see him being kicked out.

Unless they kneel down, in which case most keepers would

Needs to come out of the team now,,,for the team and himself

Unfair in my opinion. Let’s wait and see whether Bilic agrees with you.

Godden? Really? Most of the older guys I talk to said he was decent but no better than that. Very much the weak link in an otherwise great team. Their words.

I’d agree with that.

We have the best crosser of a ball at the club wondering around aimlessly in the centre but even then we have no-one in the middle to aim any crosses at. As for the shooting at times its criminal from professional footballers, even in the warm up its shocking

I’d be very surprised to see Brunt anywhere near centre mid this season

About the same level as the SPL then  :D

Yes  ;) Bromsgrove fan base is probably on a par with some SPL clubs as well.

Needs a loan move somewhere he will get regular games, only options seem to be SPL with the exception of the big 2. With the additions we have made in wide areas I wouldn't be surprised if he does move out somewhere before the window closes.

I’d suggest somewhere like Bromsgrove Sporting where he should get a regular appearance from the bench.

Slav just mentioned every young player in the club except Sam Field in an after match interview.

I didn’t hear him mention O’Shea

This is frightening. How do you get incompetent people out of the club? The Oystons are still at Blackpool and Ashley still owns Newcastle. Will Lai sell while Albion are stripping the assets and not buying (making a profit). I assume Jenkins hired Dowling so they are probably thick as thieves (thick being the key word).
All the optimism when Bilic was hired has evaporated. A long season of struggle awaits.
Jeremy Peace is also culpable for selling to Lai...

I’m fairly certain the Oystons are no longer involved at Blackpool following years of backlash from the fans.

Unfortunately I can see us going the same way under Lai.

you make it sound like it's a dedicated action... the answer is who ever is the one shooting at goal at any given time.

May as well play me up front then!

I think some over estimate our squad currently, conversely I think many overestimate the rest of the table. We'd make mid table certainly over 40 something games.

And who would score our goals?

HRK is very poor today

He is very poor every day, if we rely on him this season god help us.

Leko
Burke
Nyom
Bartley
Townsend

None of them good enough unfortunately

A genuine question. If the season started and we had this squad where would we finish? I reckon around 12th?

20th

It may well be a preseason game, however if that team doesn’t ring alarm bells then we are in for a very difficult season.

Minimum of six new first team players required.

Gary Hackett and his team are free having left Stourbridge!

In my opinion likely to rock up at Bromsgrove Sporting some time soon.

How many on here had actually heard of BL before the link? Yet it seems he's thought of of the best candidate?

I had not heard of him, however having read up on his history and given our current predicament I do believe he is the best candidate.

We need someone who has a knowledge of the European market, unfortunately we cannot compete for good quality young championship and league 1 players.

Newcastle has been sold for 350M to Dubai-based billionaire Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan. Article states they tried to buy Liverpool for 2B last year.

Yes and the guy on twitter who claims to be in the know suggests someone has bid twice as much for the Albion.  ;D

Strange as I thought Mirko Slomka was about to take over at Hamburg

Although it may be Hannover he’s going to, can’t remember which one.

I'm afraid Bruno is off to Hamburg just something I'm picking up off twitter in German, saying he rejected English Division 2 and other jobs in favour of Hamburg ??

The English second division has probably canceled and in the evening paper HSV is canceled and in t..

Strange as I thought Mirko Slomka was about to take over at Hamburg

Genuine info that Jeremy has offered Lai a way out by buying the club back circa £75m- £100m but it means loss of face in China so it wont happen same source also told me our Chief Executive is on £1m per year!!!!

Another none starter in my opinion. Peace will never be seen again unless he secures the club well below market value.

He said thats what Lai wanted. Not what was offered.  BUt yes tosh either way.

No he said they offered £700 million but Lai wants £1.3 billion  :o
