If it turns out that the season cannot be completed, a "prediction panel"  of some sort could be a solution.
Sure, there would have to be agreement from the clubs, but there is no fair way, it's just coming up with a solution which is the least unfair.
Even suspending the season is unfair, there will be a loss of momentum & injured players who wouldn't have been available will now be.

I see no reason why the season can’t be completed at some time even if it does mean playing during the summer.

I’ve been involved in youth football for years whereby teams have been expected to play four games in a week over a two or three week period to finalise a season.

Granted the length of each game is often reduced to 30 minutes each way.

With squad sizes in the premier league and championship surely it wouldn’t be an issue.

Does anyone know which forest player had the nickname Tank who AJ refers to a lot?

Alan Rogers

Brilliant podcast, what a character he is. Doubt he could get away with that sort of behaviour these days - I love AJ

Can honestly say AJ is a fantastic character.

I will Listen to the podcast later with interest.  ;D

Does he mention the police incident?

No I'm pretty sure the rule hasn't changed on that. The significant rule change for handball is that any contact with the hand accidental or not in the lead up to a goal is given as handball.
There was an almost identical situation in the Burnley game on match of the day but this time the pundits said no penalty.
I'm not sure why Goodman and Andrews were so definite that it was a penalty as Bartley's arm was in a natural position, didn't move towards the ball and there wasn't time for Bartley to react anyway.

I thought the rule change was specific to the team attacking.

intrigued by peoples opinions on this

Personally, its HRK as Charlie cannot do 90mins and I find Ken too lacking commitment / effort

Charlie Austin without doubt

If it’s 10mil and that goes towards us getting in a striker I’m happy with that.

It wont be any where near £10 million in my opinion. More likely to be nearer to £3 million tops, unless there are additions based on future games etc.

Cant say I am sorry to see him leave, started the season well but very overrated.

Correct. Ferguson should play as stand in left back and then compete with Furlong when Gibbs is back.

Personally I’d play Brunt at left back before Ferguson

Agree about the full backs, no idea why Furlong was left out tonight, I can see why Townsend was though, he was shocking against Stoke and Ferguson the better defender. Centre of defence has gone to pieces regardless of who plays, upfront no movement at all and without Diangana especially and Pereira that creative spark just non existent.

Big few days coming for Bilic

To be honest mate I believe Ferguson now thinks he’s made it big time. I don’t think he’s played well for months.

3 changes for the second half anyone?

2 perhaps, at least one needs to be held back in case of an injury.

They are both very wealthy gentlemen and I personally don’t go along with them having a devine right to a testimonial. Just my view, not seeking an argument.

In most instances today players donate funds raised to charity.

I’m told Sam played a comeback game recently, unfortunately sustained a similar injury to the same knee and will be out for some time yet.

Anyone else heard any news.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: The Hawthorns Dream
« on: November 20, 2019, 09:40:05 PM »
As some of you may know, I’ve never been to the Hawthorns in my entire life. It remains on my bucket list and with me being diagnosed recently with a DVT in my left leg, a trip to the Hawthorns may never occur.

But sometimes dreams take the place of reality and last night I had a vivid dream that I flew to the UK at a moments notice, drove to the midlands and entered our hallowed turf. Watched us win 3-2 against the Toon (not sure why we were playing them) and then was on the next plane home.

I can’t explain it and I can’t remember too many details but there you go.

Perhaps I’ll get there one day.

I hope your dream comes true.

Bristol City currently a goal to the good against Barnsley.

If they win, they go top of the division.

Come on Barnsley!

How can they go top unless they win something like 7-0

Albion Matchday Forum / Re: Ejected for wearing away shirt
« on: October 08, 2019, 07:24:06 PM »
The guy is clearly an attention seeker. He stood in front of me in the que to get in.

His shirt was clearly on view and he was carrying a jacket. I told him the only way he would gain access was to put his jacket on and keep it on throughout the game.

I went on to say should you remove the jacket you will be ejected. No surprise to see him being kicked out.
