McAuley captain instead of Evans today

If it was under TP they'd have stolen a bus.

They wouldn't need one surely!

4
wouldn't have got caught, but Barry was dragging behind, Chadli refused to run and Rondon missed the parking bay !

Sturridge injured getting into the car

5
The Royal Oak on the other side of the ground from the vine is also ok for away fans, usually plenty in there every week with no issues

It was against West Ham last 5th round tie at home in 2015, sure it was quite close to a sell out. 10,000 left is terrible, people moan about taking fa cup serious then don’t show up, people will moan about not getting semi final tickets but won’t show up now

To be fair we pretty much sold out for the league game and got spanked so I can see why people aren’t desperate to pay extra to watch the two teams again. Personally I can’t justify paying for another ticket before payday in the middle of the month, I’m sure there are a lot of others in the same boat

Again though, people are just discounting the fact that teams will pick up odd results. They will turnover stronger opposition. Ultimately it all depends on Huddersfield which is what I said pre-Chelsea and was told no it starts at The Bridge. Lo and behold it's pinned on the Huddersfield game. We could win and those around us do the same and it remains bleak.

Who’s saying that we won’t either though? The league and top 4 may be sorted out by the time we have to play the likes of spurs, Liverpool and United.

Every chance 35 points will be enough, 38 should be plenty. I can see 6-8 teams relying on results on the last day to survive which could be mental.

Think you’re probably right. Also, beating the teams around us means that they don’t get any points that week either and will reduce the amount needed to stay up

Think we’ll beat Huddersfield, Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley and Swansea. Points against Newcastle, Palace and potentially Leicester leaving us on 38. 18 points from the remaining could well be enough

Any news after his scan today?

I think the point is it’s hypcritical to lay into Pardrew for not getting results and to simultaneously keep praising and defending the non-goalscoring striker. Direct cause and effect between the two which I’m more than entitled to call out. Even if it aggravates your sensibilities to the point of you launching into sarcasm overload, which is one of my own specialities.

Likewise if we don’t concede soft goals against Southampton, Everton, West Ham and Stoke, we come away with 3 points in all those games where we managed to score. Defence is just as much to blame as the attackers are.

In each of the games above bar stoke we’ve thrown away winning positions by not being able to defend properly and see the result out. Come away with 3 points from those three games and it looks a lot rosier.

Not saying a lot , simply he's not good enough.
Rubbish finisher , too slow passing , not strong enough when he should be . Not up to it week in , week out.
Not the only one either .

Certainly wasn’t the reason we lost tonight

Barry looks like his legs have gone now

He's looked knackered all night. We've had no CM on the bench tonight though to freshen it up.

Was worried this would happen at half time after JRod missed his chance meaning we had to chase the game. Just need to get through this one with no more injuries or red cards

same old albion why the f do we play the top teams when all they do is bend over and take it up their arses

I think that's harsh. We've tried to take the game to Chelsea and been done by a very good goal and a lucky deflection. We've had our share of chances at both 0-0 and 0-1.

cause Rondon can't finish!!

I think he just did

Are you kidding me? That's a world class save. At least he worked the keeper and made that chance himself.

Well he’s consistently rubbish. Most shots of any player in our team this season and we’re 20th on goals scored and league position. Smell the coffee.

JRod fluffed his chance tonight, not Rondon.

Seems it's game over after the goal.
The fans and even the players don't believe and don't look like they can get anything from this game.

Stat just came up that we've not won this season in the league at all after going behind, so I'd say the fans are right to be pessimistic about our chances tonight.

Funny there was no mention of the penalty decision at half time on sky.
