Johnstone

Mears
Dawson
Hegazi
Gibbs

Phillips
Livermore
Morrison

Sako
Gayle
Burke

Bench includes Barnes, Barry, Brunt etc.

After those 4 games in 10 days we've got a cup match (which doesn't really matter) but following that is our biggest game of the season to date.

We won't.

We may play Morrison (or Brunt possibly) and rest Barry (or vise verse, whichever way you look at it) but that's about it. Other than that the first choices will play all games where fit and available.

That's 4 games in 10 days, but whatever you say...

We will have to rotate before the cup match. Rotherham is still the best case scenario for me of the 4 teams we will play before then.

Agree with this - Championship is great at the moment because we're winning games and scoring plenty of goals.

It won't be so fun next year when we're assembling a squad on a shoe string budget.

Fans will soon get fed up.

Spot on. Vital we get back up.

Club legend and fantastic person, but please lets be honest a football manager he is not,it will all end in tears,we still have no cohesion or fluidity to our play,we totally rely on individual moments of brilliance and Harvey Barnes, with someone like Dean Smith in charge we would be 10 points clear, the ridiculous 3 at the back play it out experiment cost us many points and ground, the subsitutions aren't great or just don't happen,ie taking off Barnes at boro, keeping Morrison on so long he cant close down, apart from Leeds and Qpr,we really haven't been very good at all,im not sure what is happening on the training ground

Moore has taken points off the wonderful Mr Smith as well as Bielsa, Pochettino, Klopp, Mourinho, and Benitez...

With 6 games in what 18 days? We will need to rotate, Rotherham are dreadful so expect 4 or 5 changes to be honest, we may wait until the home games in Christmas week but I feel Wigan and Sheffield Weds are stronger than Rotherham.

Still think Villa Stoke and Swansea will be around the top six come the end of the season, its up to us to make good signings soon and keep it going to the season end.

Not for me... Villa will be, but end up 7th to 10th.

Stoke under the attritional Rowett 12th-18th.

Swansea 10th and below.

Think it's us and one other for automatic promotion the top six completed by Leeds, Derby, Middlesbrough Forest and either Norwich or Sheffield United.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Salomon Rondon (on loan swap at Newcastle)
« on: December 15, 2018, 05:06:52 PM »
What's his strength?  Scoring?  I'd argue his strength is a lone frontman holding the ball up and that's how we used him.  He would certainly score more than he did for us in a team that has more attacking chances but he's not going to be prolific.  He misses far too many chances.  He's got a similar record to Danny Ings this season.

Would take Gayle every day of the week.

Can't displace a  dreadful Rodriguez in a Championship team. I like Gayle very much but he's not in Rondon's class or pedigree.

This......gold dust and why we couldn't afford him in our wildest.

We could afford him, he's never done it at the top level (he's no better than Maddison for example), but he wouldn't sign for us permanently while we are in this division.

Nice one, I'll send him a Xmas card and present, that will get him firing.

It's a wba forum and that's my opinion of him. I don't boo anyone at games, but that doesn't make me a happy clapper and I just don't see what you obviously do in Jrod.

Tell me one good thing he did tonight?

Body swerve to beat his man, unfortunately instead of then slipping Gayle in 1 on 1 he blazed it into the stand from 30 yards. That was about it.

He's been really poor this year, the attacking version of Bartley, but it seems to be met with indifference by most of the fans.

For what it's worth several Sheff Utd fans have said on their forum we're the best side they've seen at Bramall Lane this season.

Norwich have had some very close shaves the ast few weeks, that will change at some stage this season.

Looking at tomorrow I might throw a tenner on a Stoke, Bolton and Bristol City treble!!  ;D

First 38 minutes dreadful, rest of the game imperious. Excellent performance.

Never saw the game so what is the tactical change that big Dave made?

He told them to keep the ball irrespective of where it was on the field, this drew Sheffield United on to us. Barry sat even deeper and controlled the midfield, we then passed through the bewildered home side. Simple but effective change from the first half where we tried to hit Barnes at the earliest opportunity.

We were superb 2nd half dominated and thoroughly deserved the win. Well done DARREN and the lads. Whatever was said at half time won us that game.

Jekyll and Hyde performance from Gaz Baz. He's been fantastic 2nd dig.

That passage of play encapsulates Livermore as a footballer. Dreadful on the ball, athletic getting it back.

Nothing.

Sitter missed by Barnes. Dreadful first touch.

Gayle must do better with the cross. We're superb so far this half.
