How about we get behind him and give him a better than normal reception this afternoon, give him a boost?

From what my friend in Portugal tells me, he was a Benfica B team player predominantly so I guess he's a bit of an unknown quantity despite what we know of his background

In addition to the above comments on Newport there's a documentary about them on bbc iplayer 'giantkillers the team that wouldn't die' incidently my wife saw her late father in some of the footage also, there's a rather interesting programme about Fort William FC in the Highland league called 'The Fort' they have hadn't won a game in over 600 days iirc on the same platform

We're supposed to be on the same team here, give the guy a chance, it takes a while for some guys to settle to a new team, unfamiliar surroundings and whatever. It's a new start for a new regime - Rome wasn't built in a day - 2 games gone, 44 more to go, we're not going to win every game, we'll win some we shouldn't and vice versa, I'm feeling more positive about things for the first time in a while - c'mon yow baggies

We all know the championship is an unforgiving league, impossible to win every game. We didn't lose, on we go again 44 more to go

I think Barry is the best bet from the golden oldies we still possess

Quietly impressed especially with our passing, rarely have I seen us as composed with the ball in many a year, hopefully with more of the same to come and well done to the young chaps who didn't look out of place although sterner tests to come. A decent start to hopefully a new future

In the Eng/Cam game if those decisions stood as originally given, no one would have batted an eyelid. Yes it got corrected but 'not an obvious error' 6 inches at most, not as if they were a yard offside.
It will get like rugby where the ref is sh1t scared to give a decision so leaves it to the TMO.
Football has managed for 100 years without it, personally I don't want it

Torn on this, wasn't in favour of Barry when we signed him, however, we do need some experience and by all accounts he is probably more steady than Brunt et al. We need to keep one, thing is which one?
