Makes me laugh when he directly implies nobody told him he was being a bell'.

Not even the other players in the dressing room who apparently did. Not even the management team of the time who apparently did. Not even the then chairman who apparently also did. Not even a former manager who went on to manage England who apparently did. Not even a former technical director who went on to front up the FA as technical director, and who now does such things for plastic Albion in the Prem' apparently did either.

As for what they told him during his time at Stoke I've no idea. But a former team mate from his spell there, who had performed to the level of a full England international, was in no doubt of what he thought of him. I can't think where such an impression could have come from either. Obviously some kind of disrespectful 'fool'.

Dare say none of the magistrates or solicitors etc he's come into contact with over the years have ever told him he should buck his ideas up either. Well apart from the ones who did as a matter of public record of course. I know for a fact a number of our supporters definitely did online. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find several repeated their thoughts to his face on more than one occasion either. But then I suppose if they had they would have just been 'fools', rather like the journalists outside court were on his last appearance there.

Begs the question as to what his mother was doing at the time and whether he actually listened/listens to her, never mind his now numerous ex baby mommas. Or even whether he listens to himself in his quiet moments. Perhaps that's what this is about, his quiet moments. But why now? How has the white noise of distraction cleared from his ears? Has the light finally shone upon his darkened mind?

Could it be the penny has finally dropped? His Damascus moment has finally arrived via much of his bible reading and online quotations? Could it be he is a just a WUM and is taking the letter P for attentions sake? Or could it be his gravy train is running ever short of the juice which funds his other juices and associated vices? Who knows? And quite frankly, despite the protracted nature of my constipated thoughts I couldn't really give a .........

I can say nothing that could possibly add to this piece of brilliance  ;D

To get Krov and Pereira for 16.5m combined is good business and we have a transfer surplus from this season as well to add to whatever funds if we go up.

Agreed entirely, and with the close bond they seem to have developed already, it can only be a good thing for getting the best out of both of them to keep them together.

I know these are extreme circumstances, but I really do not understand how the standpoint of just voiding the season is even a thing. We aren't five games in here, we are at a point whereby in most leagues there are fewer than ten games to go, you cannot just say that the 8 months you have spent playing all of those fixtures then suddenly count for absolutely nothing. Seems absurd to me.

You missed out massively BrummieDan, it was absolutely majestic.

They were lucky not to be 2/3 down before they finally conceded. They looked utterly bereft of ideas. Glorious

Bottled the penalty for the foul on Sawyers if I recall

Furlong   Ajayi   Bartley   Gibbs

Livermore   Sawyers   Krovinovic

Pereira   HRK   Robinson

Sadly as soon as the teams were announced it was obvious how the game would go. That midfield was just never going to be up to it.

Complete waste of an evening, really.

Dwight Gayle against Kyle Bartley  :-X

Not sure what to expect tonight. Hopefully they try to attack us and we can pick them off, but I am never confident when we play at home. I would love to have the remainder of our games away from home.

On Saturday we missed the controlled possession that Sawyers gives us at the base of the midfield. It also highlights the fact that we don't have a like replacement.

The mistake we made was expecting Livermore to be able to perform the same role when, sadly, he cannot pass a football. Barry would have been a far more suitable replacement and you could have kept Livermore in the role he was fulfilling so manfully previously instead of shifting the entire midfield around to accomodate Harper.

Hopefully not a lengthy lay off. So much more assured whilst he was on the pitch, the corner that we conceded from was just chaos defensively.

Name them.

I reckon:

If it was just the starting XI then I would swap Bartley for Krovinovic.

Utterly abject performance. Will comment warm when I warm up

Many of us have criticised our scouting team at some point over the years but credit whoever was responsible for scouting Ajayi so well.

It was a successful summer of recruitment that’s for sure, only one failure that I can see in Zohore who hasn’t hit the heights. All of the others have had a major impact on our season, including Charlie who may not have started the number of games we’d have expected, but the goals he has scored have been crucial, especially those at the Blues.

Factor in he scored the winner too , lets not forget this is the usual time of the year Wigan escape.

I doubt he would have needed to had it not been for the indefensible mistake. We were in total control, had just hit the bar, before Johnstone conspired to gift them a corner and super Kyle raised his arm.

Wigan are notorious for hitting form at the business end of the season so we need to be on it, as we do in every Championship game as it is the nature of the division.

Interesting that some posters have us set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation despite the fact that our upturn in form has coincided with a move to 4-3-3.

I think most people realise that no matter what the formation put up on the screen is, it is a fairly fluid system that we are currently operating.

You have to factor in how awful Reading are, also. Were it not for Bartley giving them a 1 goal headstart we would have cantered that game a couple of weeks back. Well, we did canter it in the end really.

One good game when he was not really under that much pressure v's a woeful season means the juries still out for me. He looked good last night but far to early to say he has rediscovered his old form or has adopted to defending in a high back line. Did enough to keep his place.

A woeful season? Really?

Before the past two games where he has looked back to his imperious best alongisde his correct partner in Ajayi, he had only started 5 games and they were not consecutively. How is someone supposed to get up to speed when they are playing a game and then missing five.

Its amazing how things change in a month, Livermore kicked a relatively simple pass straight out for a throw in last night and got applauded and we sang Captain Fantastico to him for the next 5 mins, last month he would have been booed and slaughtered all over social media for it  ;D ;D

Form is temporary and class is permanent, I think that sums us up this season. In the main we have been class and had a blip in form over xmas period but we're on our way.......

I think when it comes to Livermore that people can live with his lack of ability with his feet so long as he is bringing what he does to the team with his drive and energy in the midfield. For a month or so he completely lost that, so his inability to pass a football became more of an issue.

If we are promoted, we have seen previously that he is not good enough to be starting in the Premier League and I would hope to see us upgrade on him at that point.

It is just nice to see us playing with that sense of authority again that went missing for a month or so. It is the Championship, even the best sides are going to have times where they struggle, it is such a long season, it just cannot be sustained throughout. Remember back to the season the Wolves won it and even with the players they had (Neves/Jota), they had times earlier in the season where they struggled before they put their foot down in the New Year. Would be nice to see us do the same now and clear the 90 point mark with ease to affirm our position at the head of the table.

I do believe we have a brilliant manager in place.

O'Shea   Ajayi   Hegazi   C-Biscuit

Livermore   Krovinovic

Grosicki   Pereira   Robinson

I thought Harper played well, but I would give him a break on Saturday and bring him back in for the Newcastle game. Really want to see Grosicki get a start in a fluid three behind the striker.

Always maintained that if you give Hegazi the same run of games that Bartley was afforded, you will soon see the difference. Two cleans sheets against teams in the top six since he was reintroduced, no coincidence in my eyes. Bartley is a complete liability. He has been better this season, but that is only because last season was such a disaster. He has still conspired to gift goal after goal away for us this season.

I do find it interesting that Slav has now finally settled on his best team and it has involved dropping Bartley and Phillips as I called for a number of months ago  ;D

Absolutely coasted that tonight.

The defence looks nice and settled now the weak link has been addressed.

Pereira continues to astound me. Cut above anything else at this level and Robinson should have added two assists for his tally tonight.

Time to get warm again

Has there been any action taken against Brentford and Preston players for their blatant dives at the weekend? Both could be said to have deceived an official by gaining penalties.

They don’t play for West Brom, ergo nothing will be done retrospectively.

Concerned that you have Furlong at left CB.  :o

I think my mind must have just been screaming at me "ANYONE BUT BARTLEY"
