Guess what if they don't want to play for us sell them.
I don't care who it is.
If things have to get worse before getting better so be it.
We will still be here supporting the baggies when they're long gone.
Its not right that we train and teach them and almost as soon as they have one first team game then they're off I wouldn't mind if we got millions for them.
So ungrateful arnt they, they rarely go onto better things do they? Its all about the dish.

The board are a complete joke and cant seem to make their mind up.... look at other clubs that sack their head coaches/managers... within a couple of days they have appointed their new man... it seems like ours are just now going through a group of people no other team wants and going to take a gamble on whichever agrees to come here on the cheap.

Now if you were a young player, just broke into the first team... a team that is going to get a new head coach with no idea who it is, what the playing style will be like or even if you will get near the first team... would you jump at the chance of committing your future to the club by signing a new contract when there are other clubs with ambition sniffing around you?

Time and time again we let our young promising players go for one reason or another, it's a complete joke... the club seriously cant expect players to want to come to us or sign new contracts when they ain't even got a clue who's going to be in charge.

Sorry but this is genuinely appalling. Gayle increases our chances of promotion massively, he's the best striker in the division. He's worth his weight in gold, without players like him who drive the team on and off the pitch (they know there's always a goal in him), we're going to languish in this division.

Sod HRK and J-Rod off, Gayle scores more than both of them combined (And I bet their salaries add up to more than 55k a week). I'd rather have Gayle, Edwards and a young up and comer from a lower down team than J-Rod, Kanu and another plodder, and i'd be shocked if the former costs more than the latter.

Edit: HRK and JRod are reportedly on combined salaries of 90k/pw according to Spotrac.com. Even with a 50% flex down that's 45k per week, and that's being generous enough to consider that they're taking a 50% pay cut which I doubt. I'd feel much better about a Gayle/Edwards/New upcoming striker attacking force next year than JRod/HRK/A low wage striker. We should be moving mountains to sign him, I can't believe we're letting him get away.

The board better have some masterstroke signing on the cards to make up for this.

Don't be silly, they didn't have a plan for a new head coach when we didn't have one never mind for a striker when we got HRK at the club ready to score our goals for us because he has zero sell on value.

HRK was driving down the expressway into Bham at 6:30 last night.

HRK pulled up to the hawthorns in the passenger seat of Livermores fancy Lamborghini at 6:30 last night  ;D

Maybe that's why the kit as been released so early.... Could it be that because we are still a championship club, they have to 'honour' it for the forthcoming season or something like that if we were to get promoted?

Can’t believe there are grown men worried about how many stripes are on there and how big they are!

Blue and white stripes that’s all that matters isn’t it

There will never ever be a kit everyone's happy with, stripes are always too big or too small!

Smart kit, just glad we are with puma as the fit is perfect.... hated our time with Adidas their fit is so terrible it makes you look like a bag of sh*t tied up unless you go for a smaller size that reveals your moobs. ;D

Apparently 4pm today it’s out. Are they allowed to wear it in the play offs?

They normally keep us waiting til last minute! Makes a change!

Sauid the exact same thing to my mate at the game yesterday, he's made his mind up and he's decided his future lies elsewhere.

You came to that conclusion after a poor performance?

In that case the whole squad has been leaving to go elsewhere for the past couple of seasons.  ???

Losing 3 nil... need goals... lets take off an attacker and put on a defender... is shan doing this on purpose to get the club back for sacking his mate?

I give up. F*cking shambles.

I don't think the owners are particularly to blame. They seem to acknowledge they know little about football and have put others who should know better in charge. The first mistake was Williams as chairman, and it was Peace who recommended him as a safehands. I wouldn't be surprised if he recommended Jenkins either who appears to have zero long term planning ability.

He clearly doesn't have any short term planning ability either.

Not many clubs get relegated and still look like strong favourites for promotion the season after... we have everything to lose here and they replace Moore with shan... amateur decision which is proving to be a completely shocking decision and the club have the cheek to threaten season ticket holders that they will lose their seats if they dont renew early?!

What an embarrassing board from top to bottom.

Can we lose our remaining games?

Dread to see us get promoted for another season of this dross, big changes need to be made.

I cannot believe the attitude towards the Wolves. I am not a supporter, but I do applaud what they have done in both Cup and League. I can claim to have seen the Albion a lot further back than most present day followers- 1948-9.  They were always rivals and  they prevented us from doing the double in 1954. There was very little agro in those days. Now the snidey attitude seems to be the norm. It is running through all sports and I hate it. Just enjoy the game. I nowadays think that lots of players always seem to have a snarl on their faces. I also watch rugby and the attitude is tottally different especially the respect shown to referees.

Its pretty easy to believe tbh.

Their fans are clueless, arrogant tw*ts who are living in cuckoo land because they have had a decent couple of seasons (yes decent, not exceptional - they haven't achieved anymore than we have when you look at the bigger picture despite spending about £100 million more than us).

They need to realise 99% of their team have no loyalties to the club and neither has nuno, soon as big clubs come sniffing around nuno and their better players they will be screwed.

It's only a matter of time  ;D

Hope so.
Not renewing mine early. If they put the price up I simply won’t renew same if I lose my seat.
Halesowen Town for me next season, Jenkins you can do one

This is exactly how I feel.

It's my partners due date today so with another baby due any time in the coming days, renewing my seat is the very bottom of my to-do list so I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose the seat I've had for the last 9 years. The harsh reality is though the club couldn't care if you've had the seat for the last 50 years and not missed a single game... it just highlights how the club are willing to treat their loyal supporters.

Ridiculous marketing by the club once again but that's no surprise when your a West Brom fan is it.

I'm a massive rondon fan, but the goals are the same size in the championship and regardless how the team plays he missed way too many sitters for us.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Sam Johnstone
« on: March 13, 2019, 10:27:39 PM »
Johnstone out!

How dare he make saves and keep a clean sheet!

100% - Jrod, rondon, Phillips, Livermore, Dawson, Hegazi and Gibbs should bring in 60-70 mill. We then need to use the majority of that to build a squad. I’d be looking at players like josh brownhill, jay dasilva, konsa, roden, bogle. Young players who are playing at this level already who can progress into prem quality. But then again, this should have happened last year.

Surely no one with any common sense would spend a good chunk of 60-70mil on those sort of players you mentioned.

A vast majority of players in the championship are there because it's where they belong, spending that much on a bunch of players that may or not reach their 'full potential' (which 90% of players fail to do) is just suicide for a club with our budget. It's never going to happen and rightly so.

Like others have mentioned, using loans for this season to help us try and achieve promotion is probably the best idea but our problem is 1) getting the formation/tactics etc right and 2) signing those loans on a permanent or replacing them with a similar quality if we do get promoted.

I think this is the wake up call people needed that thought we were going to 'p*ss this league', look how many teams have dropped into it and failed to get promoted within a couple of seasons. We are in comfortable position with a newly built squad, playing a completely new style being instructed by a very inexperienced coach... are we really doing as bad as people are making out?

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Jacob Murphy (on loan from Newcastle)
« on: February 04, 2019, 03:31:58 PM »
Yesterday he put three crosses straight into the BRE for a goal kick and an awful pass behind for a GK. Granted it’s a 17 minute debut but about as worst as I’ve ever seen. I seen a fair bit of him play for Newcastle and he seems able to run at pace but doesn’t have much a technique / ability and doesn’t have a football brain. I don’t rate him at all but will cheer him on and hope he proves me wrong. Yesterday was woeful. His crossing reminded me of Andy McDermott.

His crosses were perfect if our players were actually in the box, I remember atleast one only needed a touch to nock it into the goal... and for his pass he put it through the defenders legs which our player failed to read and just stood there watching it, if he makes that run he's through on goal.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Chris Brunt
« on: February 02, 2019, 07:35:12 PM »
Took him about a minute to cost us a goal today.

He's slow, can't tackle, barely puts any decent corners/free kicks with his magic wand of a left foot... so what does he actually bring to the team now?

Like many have mentioned, he has been a great servant and no one can deny that but it's time we move on from him if we want to progress as a club.

Hope Fury wins.

Then I hope he fights Joshua and shuts up this ridiculous cringe fest surrounding him.

He needs to stop pulling up his shorts, dropping his guard and acting cocky during his fights before even thinking about stepping in the ring with Joshua, just those 3 things will get him knocked out and that's without taking Joshuas power and speed into account.

Two long range shots and the closest player brunt failed to close the player down.

Simple things like this are the reason we have conceded so many this season.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Darren Moore sacked
« on: September 26, 2018, 12:28:00 PM »
Effort? Players did make effort last night. Of all the thibgs we can throw at the., noy trying wasn't one last night.

Did you see myhills poor attempts at diving? Did you not see players passing the ball and the receiver just standing there? Instead of moving towards the ball? Which happened countless times which resulted in us losing possession...Did you not see HRK receiving the ball and just standing there to hold off the defender instead of trying to move with the ball or pass it? Did you not see the amount of times they had the ball and no one attempted to apply any pressure?

That's all lack of effort.

These are professional footballers, some older, some younger, some inexperienced... but everyone on that pitch has the ability to play football... last night that didnt show. Moore gave them a chance and they didn't take it.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Darren Moore sacked

DM bottled it tonight. Poor tactics and useless subs. His interviews actually make me cringe at times.

Realistically, we should be aiming for promotion this season. If we fail to get it, I think some fans will start turning.

I appreciate we're a club in transition and he's come out saying he wants us to play exciting football, but aside from stuffing a toothless QPR, have we been exciting to watch? Not really. We've made hard work of the previous cup games, and we've struggled to make our possession count in games (as in, making key passes - not sitting with it at the back).

It's ok beating bottom teams, but we come up against a bit of class and we have struggled.

Then those fans that start turning need a reality check.

PLENTY of teams have proved it's not easy to drop down to the championship then bounce straight back up the next season.

We have an inexperienced manager, with a new assistant trying to play a new style of football with some players that idiots signed who no one else would want and a couple of his own players... mix with that the likes of brunt, morrison, myhill who are clearly not performing to a great level.

This whole 'transition' period doesnt take one season and for people to expect Moore to work miracles then they need to sit back and think first.

Last night he rested our better players for an important game Saturday and gave the second string a chance to prove themselves..... regardless they should be capable of playing football and make effort... which they failed to do last night.

He will make more mistakes I'm sure of that, but for people to moan in September when we are sitting comfortable in the table and being top goalscorers in English football is embarrassing.

You used th "transition" word, its this seasons VAR 😂

I think we could be in danger of looking to deep at this, the problem is quite simple brunt and Livermore don't work, it puts too much pressure on the back line and makes them look bad too

Back three of Livermore Dawson Tosin

Midfield of Gibbs Barnes Barry field/Harper Phillips

Top two of Gayle and jay rod

Livermore in a back three combined with a slow and past it Barry in the middle is a disaster waiting to happen.
