Honestly I'm a bit underwhelmed with another loan signing, not really showing any kind of bold statement of ambition to improve that I have seen from the likes of, Southampton, Norwich, Swansea, Cardiff, Newcastle, Sunderland (All teams around us).
Obviously I wish the player all the luck but its not a signing that makes me sit up and think our strike force is looking a lot better, I don't think he should just kick Rosenberg straight out the team, whilst he is confident after his Pre Season give him a run of games to show what he's got. Vydra is probably 4th choice for me, I was hoping for someone proven in a premier division from around Europe but I will give him as equal chance as everybody else.
I hope this isn't the final piece of business.
Definitely a winger/striker we need, possibly another winger after that.
And if we're talking bonus and a big sign we're going to try and improve as much as we can then another body in Centre Midfield.
Vydra looks a tidy finisher from his peak times at Watford and its nice to have a little bit of pace, definitely need some more out wide though!!
I'm expecting just the one of those realistically, probably Sinclair on Loan.
I believe Newcastle's ambition to date has been one loan striker this transfer window, whilst letting twelve players either leave or go on loan??? Southampton have bought two players in, one being an 8m defender that I'm sure we would be calling irresponsible if we splashed so much on, with 15 players going out?? All Norwich and Sunderland have undergone is a major restructuring with 17 and 15 players out of each club respectively. Indeed Sunderland are 4.5 mill in profit this summer (with some adjustment for undisclosed fees, but even so) - so much is their ambition.
We can all hear the hype of players linked to or gone to other teams, but how many of those would we jumping up and down to getting in our team
so of those teams would you prefer?
remy to anelka and vydra
altidore, giacherrini and celustka to anelka and vydra
Southampton sticking with their existing forward line to anelka and vydra
van wolfswinkel and hooper to anelka and vydra (guess there is a maybe argument?? on opinion)
corneliua to anelka and vydra
or bony shelvey and pozeulo to anelka and vydra (guess equally based on opinion some would say so)
nevertheless in terms of attacking options I don't see that any of those listed above are streets ahead of us in this transfer window in terms of ambition
