In 180mins of football against Wolves last season, Hughtons Brighton managed 1 shot on target in total (admittedly it did result in a 1-0 victory) Is this the type of football we really want to watch ?

If only he could find a club, and somehow we could end up playing against them , at least THEN we would get the chance to show our appreciation to a fantastic professional.... fingers crossed ...
All the best GMAC a true pro.....

Think we need to wait for Graeme Jones influence, he seemed to take over towards the end of the game.
Hopefully this is the case , its a shame he didn't join up with us earlier, also hope the last 15 mins doesn't paper over the cracks of what went on for the previous 75 mins of the game.
Can't see what position brunt is going to fit in to , seeing as DM has made him captain he'll find it hard to drop him now.

“I don’t like to say too much about this but I’m changing the culture around here and the first thing we have to do is recruit people with respect and humility for everyone, absolutely everyone, who we come into contact with. Everyone who steps into this place must show these characteristics.

This is an interest quote from Moore on the club's website and probably refers to the dressing room attitude at times last season.

No chance of the "fat one" returning then..... ;D

I work shifts and the prospect of arranging shift swaps means its a NO from me.

Also it sticks in my craw the thought of contributing wages ( however little that may be ) to the overpaid , underperforming , mercenaries in todays game.

The game is lost to me now , I stopped subscribing to sky a while back purely because I'm sick of ex players milking a living , over hyping games and waffling on ,and on , and on , just talking rubbish.

plus watching the antics of some of these snowflake players , goin down "squailling like babbies " trying to con referees just angers me beyond belief..

I shall probably still go and have a pre match beer with the lads but then go off and do something else.

don't care if we go or not, we'll probably stink the place out with bore draws under Southgate.

« on: January 31, 2018, 12:37:52 AM »
Hey guys, not sure where to post this but listening to talk sports Jim white and his crew this morning posing the question why Sturridge turned down Newcastle and turning down the iconic number 9 shirt.
Tell me who in Newcastle history after shearers number 9 were better than Astle or Cyrille?
I'm sick of the toon fans they're fickle moaners big club etc, what have you won? 52 thousand week in week out blah blah blah.
They will never be bigger than the baggies, sick of them

This wound me up today big time , especially as we were laying Cyrille to rest....
TALKCOCKNEY just try to get a response to generate revenue earning phone calls and texts...
so they can pay that complete knobber Jim White his over inflated wages !

My Polish mate said its KRE HOV YAK ( the E as in krEmlin NOT E as in trEE )

would sound good if we could get that goin as a chant , not a song. As they sometimes do abroad.
simply 3 syllables.

KRE HOV YAK....
KRE HOV YAK...
KRE HOV YAK......

WE HAVE A LEFTBACK!!!!!!

I wonder if Brunty will be relieved, that he wont have to get back to left back position after taking corners when teams are on the counter attack

Is it me, or has he not started to well for us so far this season ??

I thought he was quite poor at the start of last season too , time is catching up with him unfortunately , because he is a good leader on the pitch , hopefully evans will inherit the captains armband if and when fletcher is unavailable.
