Anyone watch Stephenson v Bellew? Stephenson too good. Only man at the weight that will beat him is Kovalev, the man is a beast!

Yes it's the defend yourself at all times instruction the ref gives at the start - I suppose if he judges that a fighter isn't in a position to defend himself then it's fight over.
Do you actually believe Messi deserves to win it over Ronaldo this year?
Five Germans & not one Englishman what does that tell us?
I realize you guys are upset, and I know the feeling very well(Ovrebo, Frisk, Clattenburg, every referee we've ever had vs. QPR and United), but it was the result of a bad referee. I am not particularly happy about how the game was won. It's very upsetting for all fans when the referee makes game-altering decisions to draw attention to himself. Feel free to come up with all the conspiracy theories you want. Bad refereeing is rampant in the PL, and whether or not that is due to corruption is hardly something we can know.
Absolutely agree with everything you wrote but will just add that I particularly endorse your sentiment regarding the local press. Lepkowski, who I usually deem to be on the whole a very good and fair journo has written a damning piece on Anelka which comes far too early in his Albion career (6 starts). Its premature at best and wholly unfair at worst. Too many people take stock in one mans opinion and that's all it is - one mans opinion.
I still don't think Anelka has been that poor, infact I think he has shown real class at times. It seems to me that many supporters were of the belief that we were getting a 20+ goalscorer who would charge around the pitch muscling defenders off the ball. Anelka has never been a terrier of a footballer, his strength comes in his intelligence on the ball, his decision making and his positional play. He isn't going to chase down a goalkeeper from 30 yards, neither is he an out and out goalscorer anymore, his game was adapted around 4 years ago, indeed the most league goals he scored for Chelsea in a season was 11.
If he plays we need to get behind him.
Do you honestly believe that? Anelka has showed a lot of class in his play, much more than Rosenberg. To compare him with McDonald really is silly, everybody can see that he contributes more than Sherjill.
He hasn't contributed enough yet, but to completely disregard his part in the team is silly IMO.
Nice to see that it looks like you've written him off two months after the season started.
Christmas will be a much better time to judge him.
There is an immediate recall in the agreement.
In answer to The Gaffer: We signed him as cover for Boaz and Daniels in case of injury when Foster got injured. Never likely to play but essential back up and still available while on loan at Bourmouth.
Lee Camp has joined Bournemouth on a months loan
If you are putting Anelka in the Moore/Sakiri/MacDonald level of players then thats where your problems lies.
Strikers will always be judged on goals granted but surely people can see what he brings to this club???
