Played Leeds off the park second half - if only we would be prepared to shoot and take responsibility or we had  striker we would win this game and the league 8)

Since his first game v Barnsley, he has been the worst central defender since Stacey North, the only West Brom player I've ever booed as not being worth wearing the Baggies shirt

Dowling has antagonised the Academy so much the top staff have nearly all left.  Quite clever really; now he may be able to shut it down without having to make large payoffs?

Did we need Willock as well as Pereira?  Where does Edwards figure in all this?
With Diagana coming in where does Harper figure?
Dowling is signalling that the Academy produces players that are either not good enough or get pinched from us.

I don't believe that this is a good long term strategy.

Gayle is now history

Thanks

Move on  :D

7
Is the fanciful rumour true that we did a deal with NUFC yesterday and Gayle refused the deal?

I can’t believe we haven’t completed this deal in time when we’ve got Austin over the line in less time  ???

I knew I didn’t believe it and was correctly ITK 8)

Wrong Pereira entirely...

Sorry it would be stupid not too think there were more than one Pereira, bit like only one Jones being a footballer in Wales :D

There is nothing clear about this transfer
No agreement, nothing from either club, just speculation from Portuguese newspaper

Take as much as we can get, 8 days to go, It is not beyond belief that we haven't planned for this approach, not the best of timing but not unexpected

Most of us were expecting another 3 players, now it may be four

I would have no objections at all provided wages are sensible and that’s for those in charge to manage. Would be a very good influence on others around him.

Spanish Taxi drivers undoubtedly would look forward to seeing him again, not so sure he is that good an influence though

him and harper could easily be rotated this season but they both need to be getting 20-25 games.
they both should be ahead of Livermore and brunt in terms of central midfield pecking order.

Certainly Brunt, even I'm ahead of him being left footed but quick despite have only one leg ;D

Welcome, looks like you will be keeping Brunt out from starting in midfield :o

Sawyer's is the creative spark we were missing in the middle last year, he plays football the right way. Not sure how Slaven will slot him in but he offers something different to Brunt, Harper, Barry, Livermore etc.

Even I offer something different from Brunt and Livermoe

Managed correctly I’ve no doubt Bartley is a more than capable championship defender. Jimmy Shan was a novice, yet the improvement seen in Bartley in the villa games especially was very telling.

Worst CH we've had since Stacey North

Almost nothing would please me more than beating Leeds to any player, cheating, jumped up 2nd Division side with little history until 20 - 30 years ago :-X

This could potentially be the central midfielder we've been waiting for ;)

21
Of course having more mobile midfielders, capable of winning proper tackles without giving needless fouls away coupled with a new football playing CH and a proper full back or two would enable us to play any formation you like.

Play the formation that suits your teams collective skills

Tay rocket science :o

As a conspiracy theory Lai, in order to get money out of China did a deal with Dalian Yifang to insist that Benitez must buy Rondon as part of his managerial appointment ;D 8)

Salomon, better than some people on here think, in a good team surrounded by players not playing defensively like Pullis and Benitez playing just to stay in the premiership, he would have scored 20 per season

At least he and Burnley have conducted the business in a professional manner.

Rodriguez didn't agitate for a move and unlike Dawson didn't sulk last year, Burnley met the release clause  - good deal for all

We move on and hopefully let our "Global Search & Player Recruitment" department do their job, of course backed up with full reinvestment of incoming transfer fees and the monies held in our transfer chest  :o
