Just out of curiosity can I ask why Johnstone, Bartley and Livermore have all been dropped from your team.

Probably because he doesn't think they should play?! Many have wanted the three of them out for a while now. They may have improved however one swallow doesn't make a summer.

I'm all for technology i just think it's being used wrongly.

I think it should be appeals as in cricket and tennis. 3 each, and if you're right you keep the appeal. Something like tonight that nobody has spotted really and is questionable - nope, not for me. But today it's the handball rule that is under the spotlight.

Is it premature to say
If you can win all your away games and draw your home games ......

Why would you say that?!

Did you expect otherwise?

I had hoped he'd be dropped.

Do we think Edwards could potentially play the number 10 role?

I'd be keen to see more of a 433 with Sawyers sitting and Harper and Krovinovic in more advanced positions and i do think this is something Bilic has done in the past. It'd be a risk because Sawyers has amazing composure on the ball but i'm not sure how he is going into tackles.

In front of those 3 you could go Pereira/Diangana, Austin and Phillips/Edwards.

We'd be potent going forward, hopefully more clinical in the box though i'm not sure how well we'd do defensively in open play.

Of course, there's always 442 which Bilic mentioned in pre-season where we could see a 4 across the middle of Pereira/Diangana, Sawyers, Krov, Phillips/Edwards and then Austin and Zohore starting.

Another option would be to go full Mowbray, take Livermore out and don’t bother with a defensive midfielder at all (although not really something I would be keen on). Krov, Sawyers and Pereira, with options to fit Brunt and Harper in there.

I've only seen him on the box away at Forest but I commented then how much he reminded me of Robert Koren. Do not get me wrong, football has moved on but I think in certain games he could play in the centre of midfield in a 4. You could have him and Sawyers central with Phillips and Brunt (or someone else suited to playing as a wide midfielder rather than a winger) wide and be a successful possession based midfield 4.

I think Pereira and Diangana are both left-footed and could play on the left wing.

I like Atomic's team, i'd probably swap Austin out for Harper moving Phillips to the wing and Harper into the middle 3. Austin is building fitness and maybe wiser to bring on for the final 30 minutes. Zohore may be gifted a goal from GJ's defensive set up and that may be invaluable!

Disappointing to lose last night but an important act for the likes of Austin, Diangana, Pereira and so on to get time on the pitch.

I think in perspective in the league we're on par and hopefully we can remain unbeaten v Luton going into 3 games in 10 days with 2 being at home.

Realistically we're probably going to see Austin up top with Pereira, Edwards and Phillips behind or something along those lines with Sawyers and Krovinovic feeding them from deeper so i can see us becoming much more potent in the final 3rd as they used to one another.

I'm not worried, i'm excited.

His goal yesterday may have been easy, however, he followed the ball, anticipated it hitting the bar or staying in play and that's what we have missed in these first few games; killer instinct and experience. Get him up to speed and on the pitch for 70-80 minutes and then full games and hopefully he'll flourish.

18
Oh well. Lessons being learned early.

This time last season we had 1 point in the league and won in the cup. This year 4 points and lost in the cup.

19
What do we think the formation is there guys?

442? If it's 4231 i'm wondering who the number 10 is...

Matty at Gillingham, Joe at Arsenal and Chris with us

Ah, they called Chris Willock on TakSport which confused me!

Sensationalism at its very best to be honest. Twitter is a ridiculous place for West Brom views.

We lost Rondon, Rodriguez, Dawson, Nyom, Morrison as well as fringe players and the loans of Holgate, Murphy, Barnes and Gayle ended. Field and Leko went out on loan.

11 players who would have been in and around the 18.

We bought in Furlong, Ajayi, Sawyers, Pereira, Willock, Diangana, Krovinovic, Zohore and Austin. We've introduced Ferguson and Edwards to the starting line up.

11 potential first teamers. That's a huge overhaul.

We have 4 points, scored 3 goals and conceded 2 from 2 games.

If this is bedding in time, i'll accept that.

I think he was looking for space but not running into it,I disagree that he hit it cleanly from memory he seemed of balance but he should have scored,I was in the corner of Smethwick/ halforfs lane corner so I had a good view also who was behind him one of our players?
He's trying so let's see

I've seen it on TV a few times, looked a clean hit to me to be fair.

Dead certs:
Bond, Furlong, Townsend, Harper, Brunt and Pereira start.

Hopes:
Hope to see Diangana, O'Shea also in and Zohore given another chance to get off the mark. Also hope Austin gets 30 minutes.

Is this Willock playing for Arsenal related to the one we have on loan?
