Strange goings on at the sanctuary. No pen at end of first half for blatant shirt pull, no sending off for a forearm smash straight from the Mick McManus playbook!?. Could have been 2 reds in the same passage of play there !!

Please no “went want Smithy out” 🤣

Looks like old Gammonface may have finally run out of road at Villa Park.

Can’t help but think his somewhat lengthy stay at Seal Sanctuary coincided with the Viles good fortune in ownership change.

Would he still be in charge if Tony Xu was still owner of the club…I reckon not.

Villa running at under a point a game. Still time to save that but if it remains; at what point do they stick or twist?!

Actually watched the match on TV. It made for hilarious viewing. Pity West Ham were off their game and never really got out of second gear. Anyway....... SOTV  8) , bunch of weighed anchors.

West Ham are an excellent outfit - that team pretty much has everything you’d want. All bases covered.

This Villa side are no different to the one of the last three or four years - the only difference this year is that they do not have Grealish to bail them out.

The bottom of the Premier league is starting to look interesting now. Clearly Norwich are gone, but Newcastle will buy their way out, and if Ranieri can work his magic at Watford they will be safe too. That leaves Burnley in trouble, but Dyche always finds a way out. Then we have the ever so wonderful Leeds and the vile in the next places. Hopefully, we will see Smith and his circus in the bottom 3 by Christmas ;D

Newcastle will try and buy there way out of trouble but I'm not convinced they will be able to attract the players, especially in January. Not too many players will want to join a relegation scrap especially of the quality they keep getting linked with.

add in that Brentford are dropping like a stone and it could be very tasty.

Money talks plenty of talented players like Pereira who would jump at playing for Newcastle with enough noughts on the end of the paycheque.

They have the base of a good team, they will only need a few key signings to get out of the bottom 3. The managers they are being linked with will not tolerate messing around in the relegation zone for the season.

It does to a degree but I do think overly greedy players like Pereira are not the norm.

The quality of player that Newcastle are being linked with (never going to get IMO) are not the type of players to want to play in a relegation battle or in a lower division.

Wonder how long his contract was?. Surely will get a nice payoff.
