To be fair to the Liverpool fans, you don't see them on Facebook screaming 'Null and void' like the plastic City and Utd 'fans' did last season.

Even if they do, we've got no chance of staying up. Not worth supporting Vile for it.

Its not over until its over, and for me that involves something far worse,
supporting Man Utd.

Chris Wilder about to be sacked at Sheff Utd today according to the Mail. Him and the board can't get on. They want a DOF installed and he doesnt so curtains.

Is the difference between the two Craig Dawsons down to coaching, I wonder?

I know we cannot say this, but I would.  Only if he accepts a DoF though, which sounds highly unlikely

NOw being reported by most the papers he's gone. Wilder doesnt want a DOF so not going to work here.  The board and him there have been at loggerheads since before this too remember.

Doesn’t this go back to a bit of a power struggle which looked like it was going to end in the courts ?

I think they are just in an unworkable situation. Delaying the inevitable. Look how that worked out for us. From what i read they rate him as a manager but not his ability to pick out a good trasnfer so they are happy to keep him if he accepts DOF. He wont have it.

Crazy decision.

This season hasn't gone to plan but it is difficult to see a better person for the Sheffield united job next year than Chris Wilder.
If I was the Sheffield united hierarchy and ultimately wanted a DOF, I would have put it on the back burner until it was the right time for CW to go. That wouldn't have meant CW had the absolute authority, but i'd have seen it as the option likely to get the best short term results.

SSN saying hes officially gone now.

Thats his squad so someone else may struggle to get a promotion out of them. Better for us i suppose.

As difficult as it is try not to make it about us and if he’ll come to Albion. It’s a simple rule - we just don’t discuss it

Seems like it should have happened before if the relationship was unworkable and the results weren’t coming but whatever, saves us from being bottom.

It’ll be interesting to see where they go from here as they are a hard working bunch of good lads as a certain capped fella used to say and they will need a head coach that will squeeze the most out of them as Wilder has. They are limited but ran through brick walls for him.

good point, not the most gifted squad, a new DoF manager will likely rip it up and start again, similar situation to ours for different reasons

Bilić here, AVB at Marseille, now this. (I'm sure there are plenty more)

The key to any appointment is harmony between the Technical Director/DOF and the Manager/Head Coach.

Pointless continuing without really.

Is it too late for Pulis?

Wouldn't surprise me. He would have to get rid of all his Wednesday clobber first!

I think its too late for anyone. They know they are down, they cant sign any players. I dont get it at all. The relationships been dead for ages so why end it now, its too late for them.
