Villa v Newcastle postponed due to COVID n Newcastle ranks
Why do they get to postpone? We had multiple players missing over multiple games. Whats the difference here?
How many cases have newcastle got? They need to make a ruling on this as what's to stop sides avoiding fixtures if they have suspensions injuries etc and using this as an excuse
Newcastle and Villa get a nice 2 weeks break before the festive fixture list starts.....
I think we will play a fully rested Newcastle team then?
Newcastle can't train as First Team Staff have it so basically unfair advantage as Newcastle will have no prepartion
It’s because the training ground was ordered to close by public health England.I think there’s 7 affected at Newcastle (that we know of)
Thanks for clearing that p guys so if the PHE say trainign gorund closed PL have to postpone then?
In the article with Ivanovich thats just gone up on The Telegraphy by John Percy it says 14 first team players and staff were absent at one point last month why were our games not postponed? If we had 5 players out with it then that means 9 nonplayers were out with it too.
Restrictions on Premier League and EFL clubs appointing foreign managers are to come in from January. Not sure of the detail, as the story from the Times is behind a paywall
I dont know if its been posted but there have been stories over the last few days about transfer restrictions too. I'm not sure how much it will effect premiership teams and how tough the system will be, but its likely to stop clubs further down the pyramid signing europeans.
standard regulations apply to all EU countries just like non EU - must be a certain calibration of player for the nation and subject to permits etc. Also youth players are limited per season (think it’s 6 u18’s a season).
