It's amazing how often Vardy's legs just stop working when there's a slight touch in the box.

It’s possible it will be a Merseyside 1 and 2, but not convinced of the order yet  :)

If they don’t finish in the top 4, I can see Carlo with his P45 in his hand then 😂

No chance, the Everton board is one of the most sensible in the country, there is literally no expectation up here from their fans for finishing in the CL places. They'll be happy with top 8 and a cup run, then push on in the coming seasons.

Well, if that’s the level of their ambition, I can see Carlo asking for his P45 then

Just think you're totally wide of the mark re the club as a whole. They finished 12th last year. A couple of midfielders aren't going to change a great deal, Ancelotti like any manager needs 3 or 4 windows. They need a better striker and goalkeeper.  The centre backs aren't great, Gomes and Doucoure arent elite players. The players outside the first XI are genuinely poor for where a top 4 squad needs to be.

How much has Carlo spent since he arrived on Merseyside?

Farhad Moshiri has spent a considerable amount since his arrival and has been very patient, but there is a limit to his patients, like every other owner, he will be demanding, minimum top 6 this season imo.

They have a top manager and a very good Premier League squad, so no reason for the owner and fans not to have that expectation.

He isn't though, their fans certainly don't think so. You can't demand top 6 from 12th when there are 6 massive clubs, plus the like of Leicester and the **** better placed and with better teams.

Ancelotti and the signing of James and Allan has moved the dial for Everton. They do seem to have a coherent first XI which despite spending a fortune is the first time I would have said that for a number of seasons. The question is where does that take them to? I doubt top 4 maybe top 6 but for that to happen at least two of the big 6 and or Leicester have to have disappointing seasons.

I am fairly confident of a top half finish for them but to get beyond that their key players will need to stay fit for the bulk of the season.
