That's because over relying on loans, allows fans to think their team is stronger than it is.
But we don't have any option but to rely on loans, do we?
We have more chance than bringing in a couple of top players on loan for a season than buying.
We don't have the big money so we have no choice.

Lets wait and see... so far they're signing someone to stand still..

Leeds have now made signing number 3 with teenager Charlie Allen from Linfield. Not somebody who will have an impact this season, but a really exciting prospect. I’m impressed with how they operate as a club. They are always thinking a few seasons ahead with the players they sign. Instead of waiting to see if they are ready and then signing them for £10m, they go out and get the players as teenagers and develop them from there.

They haven’t yet improved their first team from last season with any signing, but they have spent a minuscule amount of massively improve their squad for the next few seasons.

Put them alongside Wolves, Brighton, Burnley, Leicester, Sheff Utd, Brentford and now possibly Villa too as clubs with a clear understanding around how they need to run their transfer market strategy.

It suggest to me, that they don’t have their own substantive academy with young players of quality coming through, but I don’t know

Chelsea have submitted a £50m bid to West Ham for England midfielder Declan Rice. (Source: Sky Sports)

We should be in for him  :D

Fulham in for Calum Chambers for £12m. Decent player in there but always injured.

Just attained Cat A status and starting to raid the north east, hurting Sunderland and Boro in the process.

Kelvin Phillips and Jamie Shackleton have both racked up a ton of appearances after coming from their academy in recent seasons and they have a decent supporting cast behind the, despite having been a cat b academy since the start of EPPP.

They are just really well run.

true, and Leeds haven’t even finished standing still if they follow through with their Ben White interest. Do I remember right that the have a compulsory purchase on Augustin if they were promoted too?

The Yorkshire Post suggesting this morning that the obligation to pay is still in place and it will be difficult for Leeds to get out of it. Would be good news, hitting a Leeds with a £20m fee. Hard to do much else given the current situation in the Prem.

Brighton set to make their 11th signing of the summer, with Paul Van Hecke coming in from NEC Breda for £2m. Going straight back on loan. Ashworth has evolved into Ashworth 2.0.

It won't go to court if Leeds take competent legal advice because their lawyers will tell them that ain't going to fly. Perfectly happy to help the various parties here with a loan offer :-*

I forgot Leeds had signed Helda Costa for around £16m as well, it should eat into their budget a bit, with the Augustin fee hanging over their heads (another reason they might fight it, to delay payment).

They seem on the face of it to be building a side for the 2021-22 season at the moment. Possible they think with Bielsa there, they might stay up without any major changes.

In WTAF news Arsenal give Willian a 3 year contract on £220k a week. That is beyond bad never mind the optics of making 50 odd people redundant barely a week ago that is in it's own right properly bad.

The fact they have Ozil on such high wages and can't shift him (in a situation similar to Bale at Madrid), and have added a 32 year-old is just incredible.

Bet he got a tasty signing on bonus too

Dan Ashworth and his family still live Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. The Hawthorn’s is much closer to where they live than the AmEx. Dan Ashworth did a marvellous job at the Albion but he needed to move on and so must we. We may yet recruit a technical director of his ilk in the future.

A million a month sounds better
Or £300,000 a match in a 40 games season

They are just a really poorly run club under Kroenke. In the kast few months they have got rid of their technical director and instead plan to use agent Kia Joorabchian as their main guide (possibly to try to copy Wolves with Medes).

It doubt it will work as it didn't for Blackburn, so the third biggest team in England will likely continue to fall behind Liverpool, Chelsea, the Manchester Clubs, Spurs and Wolves.
