On one hand its a great chance to go through to the next round and should give some of our younger players an opportunity to play a competitive game. On the other hand its a rubbish draw for fans really, hardly any will turn up and I think most would have preferred an away trip to somewhere like this.

A good chance for tv I think? Who else thinks this.

Possibly with them being new to the football league, you can bet your bottom dollar Liverpool v Notts County will be on

Really good chance this will be on TV, not because of us but they (Sky) will want a cup upset. Hopefully the club do some kind of deal on the tickets. £1 for kids ?

Not a chance this will be on sky in my opinion - might have stood a chance away from home.

I dread to think if this was on Sky. That would knacker the gates even more!

bah.

I was hoping that if we get drawn against a side who are likely to hand our ass to us, then it would have been one of the really big clubs, so I could take in an away day at a stadium I've not been to.

I've been to the Hawthornes numerous times. Nice club. Good fans. But not quite what I was after!

Laugh out loud, a quote from the opposition :D I understand the quote i suppose

A potential banana skin but if we play as we can and act professional we will win.

However, if we under estimate them at all could be a very tough game, they are on a high at the moment, they have risen through the leagues, got promoted back into the league, got a nice new ground, they are a club on the up and will be full of confidence.

They beat Brighton on Tuesday who are no mugs, and i would think with the exception of Liverpool, we are the highest ranked team they could of drew at this stage so they will be buzzing.

I hope we take it serious and blood a few youngsters but put a strong core side out as i want us to really have a chance of winning this this year after our claims we were targeting the cups last year and in total we lasted 3 games!

This game wont be on Sky. They will have the Morecambe v Newcastle game on. This will be a good game for one or two youngsters to get a run out, they had an excellent win other Brighton.

I think Newport will bring a good following, I imagine a lot of them haven't been the Hawthorns before. When we have had Rotherham, Cheltenham, Brentford in the early stage of the Carling cup we have always had at least 10,000 with a few hundred away fans.

I don't like the arrogance of some on Twitter thinking its an easy tie and expecting a 7/8 goal victory.

It won't be easy against a team full of confidence after promotion and a good result in the last round, the team we put out should be good enough to go through but at a realistic scoreline.

I don't like it that much. Just imagine the flack we would get if we lost to these, they will definitely be up for it, interested to see how many fans they bring. Really hope its cheap tickets for us, like Adults for a fiver, kids for a quid. Even that I don't think would get over 10,000 for this.

Hopefully we can do the job very professionally with a couple of early goals to seal the deal, hope we don't underestimate them.

A Premier league team at home against a League 2 team - the perfect draw. We should use it as an opportunity to give our fringe and youth players a run out. I expect a comfortable victory; I want a demolition job.

As I read sky sports this evening it's says and I quote " Newport County have been given a glamour tie at premier league West Brom". If sky show 3 games in that week I.e Mon, Tues and Weds I think we could have a good chance of being on. Not because it's us, just because it could be a huge upset and lets face it anyone whose anyone loves a upset.

Very similar to Yeovil last season, a team on the up and a potential banana skin, we will need to be on our game, I suspect the cup may be more seriously on our agenda this season, mind you, I said that last season! :-[

I want the easiest game possible.  I has a fiver on us to win it at 66/1!  For a competition that the big clubs dont take seriously, I thought it was good odds!

Newport County for me!!

Your wish came true!!!!!

Really looking forward to our visit, we should bring a decent following to this ( approx 2000 at a guess )as this is obviously our cup final playing a premiership side.

Are you likely to have many turn up for this?

Here's hoping for some cup magic and a County win!!!! We can but dream!!!!

It would be a much more attractive match to go if it was at Newport....................would have been similar to last year's excellent first trip to Yeovil.

Great to see County back, starting well and getting a good away trip.
