That team looks to weak I don't want us to throw the game, but if we are I would prefer we use our kids rather than mears and hoolahan.

Mine would be:
                  myhill

     Dawson Tosin Hegazi

  HRK Harper Barry Townsend

             Hoolahan

      Burke Rodriguez

Bench: Johnstone Bartley brunt  field Livermore Phillips Gayle

Just a few kids and some ammunition on the bench to give it a go if we fall behind.

I personally would give Barry another est on the bench. We need him for the league games.

Myhill
Dawson - Hegazi - Adarabioyo
Mears - Harper - Field - Townsend
Hoolahan
Burke - HRK

Bond, Bartley, Brunt, Livermore, Edwards, Leko, Gayle

If we were in the Prem and had a squad that could challenge for a cup win then I'd say go for it, but this is the last thing we need atm. Use it as an opportunity to blood our younger players, throw Edwards and Leko on in the second half and see what happens. Shame we haven't got a younger right wing back to bring in though.

I'm not sure what sort of team we'll put out for this. If Palace put out a full strength team we don't want our kids getting a right pasting. I wonder if Darren Moore has been on the phone to Roy asking how seriously he's taking this competition?  :-\

Johnstone

Dawson
Hegazi
Adarabioyo

Mears
Harper
Field
Townsend

Hoolahan
Morrison

Rodriguez

Myhill, Bartley, Barry, Brunt, Barnes, Robson-Kanu, Gayle

I think it's key that Phillips and Gibbs, both of whom have a history of muscle injuries and are being asked to do a lot of work, do get a rest where possible. I'd like to see that back 3 as I do believe Bartley to be a weak link for what we are asking of him and I'd like to see us operate with two 10s. Resting Barnes and Gayle as they are so important currently. Centre of midfield is inexperienced but they need games and the team around them has plenty of experience so would be a good test for them.

Tricky one this, 3 games next week, we really don't want any injuires to key players, I think I'd load the bench with youngsters and start HRK and Burke up front.  I don't think Roy will put out his first team.

I wouldn't for the life of me put HRK RWB. Think you may have him and Burke mixed up.

I’d say that playing HRK as a right wing back is closer to throwing a game than playing the likes of Mears and Hoolahan.

I think Palace made plenty of changes for the last round against Swansea so I see no reason why they won’t do that again and I imagine we will do the same. We won’t want to risk anyone if we can help it.

I know Iran not a lower league opponent but it's also not one of the big boys and we have a home draw so have every chance. Best cup run I remember us having (albeit fa cup) was under Mowbray in the championship. As long as you give it a go you never know.

Wonder if we will sign sako? If so would it be in time to play his former club?

subs: Bond Brunt Gayle Leko Livermore Barry Barnes

I'd be happy with this though I suspect Mears will play at right back with Edwards not involved.

Hard to work our what Moore will go with. He has a lot of options sitting in back up.

I'd like to see us go to 451 really, with Field and Harper in midfield sitting behind Hoolahan or Morrison, but I expect Moore will go with Field at centre back and put Barry in there (thus ruling him out of a start at the weekend).

Will he continue with Leko, Edwards,Burke as the front 3? It was exciting first half last round? I can't however see it this time, as one of Hoolahan, Morrison or HRK will be in line for some game time.

I think we may revert to a back four for this game simply because we then wouldn't have to play Dawson, Hegazi or Bartley. I can see us lining up something like:

                                             Myhill

Mears                  Adarabioyo                 Field                       Townsend

              Hoolahan                   Harper                    Barry

Burke                                                                                 Leko

                                               Robson-Kanu
