Looking forward to this game.

Big chance for us to see some fresh faces in team;

Dawson needs to play and get some minutes (with a view to coming back into the side)
Townsend played well when he came on today so would like to see more of him. Looked far more accomplished as a defender than Gibbs.
Also think this is a good game for Burke to get 90 minutes.
Brunt should be rested. (4 games in 10 days or 5 in 14 will be too much) be nice to see field or Harper
O Albion we love you

Taking the bonnie lass and the wee lad to this one. He's going to wear my old albion shirt, a green and yellow striped top from 94 when I started going! The coucher and shaw logo has peeled off though.

There's something oddly emotional seeing your lad wear your old top from when you were his age.

                                           Johnstone

Nyom                 Dawson                            Hegazi                 Townsend

                         Livermore                         Field

Burke                                                                                    Barnes

                               Morrison

                                            Robson - Kanu

Subs: Myhill, Adarabioyo, Barry, Brunt, Phillips, Gayle, Rodriguez.

Given that Darren Moore prefers some variation of 4-4-2 I'd go with something like the above. It's a chance to rest a few players particularly attacking players, keep them fresh. It's the perfect opportunity for Sam Field to be introduced in midfield. It's also ideal for Oliver Burke to start a game. He has started only 19 games in his career here is a chance to gain a bit more experience. Defence is one place you ideally need continuity. Townsend according to what I've heard did OK at Norwich, I'd keep him in. If Dawson is fit it's an ideal time to bring him back into the fold as well.

I'd have no objection to having Edwards. Leko, Harper on the bench rather than the established first teamers if DM decides he wants to go that way.

Hard to guess just yet as with the loan window open there is potential for an addition before Tuesday, but assuming no one comes in I still think we will see plenty of changes.

Myhill

Adarabioyo (know he isn’t a right back but I’d rather not put Nyom in)
Dawson
Bartley
Townsend

Morrison
Barry
Field

Burke
Gayle
Chadli/Edwards

Hoping Dawson gets a run out so we can get him reintegrated. I’d play him with Bartley to help build a bit of a partnership. Risk to play Gayle but would be nice to see him get off the mark. Hopefully Chadli is involved too but if not let’s give Edwards a go.

Without doubt most of the first team should be rested, a long hard season this competition is irrelevant this year

I'd play a young team, with some decent experience. I'd also be very mindful of not putting too much stress on the bodies of several players who we need to rely on. So with that said

                                             Johnstone

                               Tosin      Dawson     Hegazi

           Burke                          Barry                       Townsend

Mozza (sub at 60 mins)    Field

                             Edwards                   HRK

That should be able to win easily and i'd bring on some talented kids & Chadli (unless about to leave) as subs.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

There is no way Big Dave will play three at the back.

Let players get some needed competitive match minutes under their belt and give the first teamer's a rest after playing three games in a week. Play Tosin in his best position alongside Dawson, Brunt in his best position on the left to give Barnes a rest and allow for the midfield three of JM, GB and SF.

If it's not Johnstone in goal it ought to be Bond, not Myhill. (Is his name Bond? Seems to have vanished.)

You'd have thought the evening train issues mentioned lots of times last year would have been sorted or at least spoken about with the number of midweek evening games we are going to have this year.

I mean the last train I can get home on Tuesday is at 21:30. Imagine this will be the same for all midweek evenings.

Johnstone

                                    Barry                         Field

Burke                                                                                    Chadli

                               Morrison

                                            Robson - Kanu

That would be my team on Tuesday if Chadli is fit. We desperately need some loan players in my opinion. Definitely a young box to box mid fielder and a right back. Watched highlights of the stoke game and they looked terribly slow  in mid field with too many old legs like us.

Gloucester. Seems the same each year, really need an extra train to Birmingham from The Hawthorns after the final whistle for night games, currently it's 21:47 and then the next one isn't until 20 past 10.

How many do we think will turn up for this in the Albion end? There are a lot of tickets left online.
