I'm just thinking of a pair of defensive CMs that can thwart MCFC in the midfield and free up the Pole from time to time. I can see De Bruyne and David Silva exploiting Barry on a counter after Krychowiak gets too far forward. It also saves Barry from having to play 3 games in one week.

Man city will be out for blood considering what happened in there last league game.

As long as the goal difference doesn't take a hammering and we avoid any injuries I'm happy.

I hope we give it 100%.. You always get upsets and dropping points where you are expected to win, so a point against Citeh, Man U, Chelsea may end up being crucial at the end of the season.

Given how tight it is down the bottom I think goal difference should be considered, and at present ours is healthy in comparison.

I have been happy with the approach Pardew has adopted, much more attacking and football based - but tonight's game is a different kettle of fish. If we try and attack City we are going to get picked off - they are much stronger at the back than say Liverpool.

I don't want to play negative obviously, but I don't want to get battered either. If we play well and keep the relative confidence up (but still lose) then I'll accept it.

My prediction is 3-1 but relatively comfortable for City.

Saturday is what matters in the grand scheme of things IMO

Even without Sane Man City still have quality everywhere on the pitch.

I will be glad of a good performance and no fresh injuries. Not expecting anything but a fairly heavy loss. 3-0 would be the end of the world.

scoring is going to be hard, they’ve spent more on their defence than many countries!!

This is always stated about City but Bristol City , Liverpool and Crystal Palace all took the game to them, Palace managed a draw, Liverpool won and Bristol City had 2 narrow defeats, so maybe going for it is a better option than people think?
